When I was little, I use to believe in God as being an adult looking into a jar full of earth and we are like ants. I believed when it rained it was either God crying with frustration or p*ssing on us.

Unfortunately sometimes I still believe that :-s lol

I also believed thunder was a big baboon beating on his chest because thats what my mother had told us. Funny enough, I was more afraid of an angry baboon on the loose and every time I heard the thunder would hide under the bed if it sounded close lol

Cheers

As a preschooler, I would watch the moon rise through my bedroom window. One night it occurred to me that the moon and the sun must be the same thing - it only burned on one side but was so bright, it could still shine through the other side. Every morning and night, it would go down, turn around and come back up.

I remember trying to explain this to my mom but I did not have the vocabulary at the time.... =]

When I was little my mom had a matching silverware set that she always used. One day my grandma gave my mom a spoon that had a different design on the handle. I thought it was a secret spoon because the design was different. That's the only spoon I would use to eat food with. My brothers and I used to fight over that spoon and my mom found more like it at some store or whatever she found them at and she bought some for all my siblings so we could all have our own secret spoons and not fight over it. Years later I was looking at my baby book and she had written in there, "Do you remember the secret spoon?"

I thought I could really fly when I was VERY little. I discovered that it wasn't true around 5 when I took a nose dive off the couch and my chin met the edge of the dining room table.

It took 9 stitches to teach me that I couldn't fly.....

I used to think that if I turned off the T.V. and returned to it later the same program would be on.

i used to believe that whenever i watched a scary movie, the "spirits" of the scary characters would come out of the TV and come up into my body through my feet and take controll over me. this caused me to crumple up my feet so tight and close to me whenever i watched a scary movie...even now I do it subconsiously..
