well there's alot of girls that are old fashioned.
ur right about guys going through the agony though. I guess its just the fact that its always been the guys 2 ask out the girls. But it shouldnt be to much agony. Because we usually drop hints when we like the guy, so in other words that means you have nothing 2 fret because we'll say yes =]

listen sweetie. Girls can't handle the rejection like guys. Like we won't be able to stand being turned down by the guy we like and to find out that he does not like us. Plus I would rather have a guy ask me out. Also because it seems more casual for the guy to ask out the girl and you have to admit they have the balls to do it. Oh and yes I would rather have the guys go through the agony instead of me getting all nervous, but if I really like a guy I would ask him out without any problem because I would not want anyone to beat me to him=-) Well I hope that answers your question. Ciao =-)

I am a fairly shy person, and I dont want to be turned down. But if there is a guy that I know is interested in me, and I in him, then I'd ask him for a coffee or something small like that. I like the idea of being asked out so that I know the guy I'm going out with is a man!

Thought you might be interested in a guy's perspective:

I've had plenty of girls ask me out, especially when I was between the ages of 15-19, and you know what?

I TURNED EVERY ONE OF THEM DOWN.

As the guy, I feel a responsibility to be the initiator in a relationship. A girl asking me out just makes her too masculine. Its a complete turn off.

And I know what you're probably thinking, but it has nothing to do with a fear of strong women. That actually attracts me - to a degree. All I'm saying is: Let him lead - he'll appreciate your input more.

Part of the dating game is for the guy to ask the girls out.

I know plenty of girls who ask guys out but they are all over, say, 24.

They start getting antsy that no one is gonna marry them unless they get proactive... also that entire sex drive thing starts accelerating for them towards 30.

They certainly can. I've asked all the guys out I've ever been with. I waited for them to ask, but they were too shy, or lazy, or unsure of whether they liked me enough, I guess.

If the man I had my eye one didn't get the point, I had no problem going after him. But once you got him I would take a step back to keep him interested. It seems once they think they got you hooked they aren't so interested anymore. Good luck!
