It is not gay. It teaches you control and to get up and do something else for a while. So go do some stretches and come back and start voting and rating while you can't answer! Read some of the other answers also, you can learn lots of stuff and be concerned about how naive others are. Have a great night?

It is to ensure that people who are newer don't answer too many questions without experience. It also adds an incentive to move up the points ranking so you can do do more.

As you can see from the points scale, once you reach Level 5 you can ask an unlimited amount of questions.
