The doctor said I lost some weight when I really should be gaining some but how can I do that? Trust me, I eat a lot of junk food but I just can't seem to gain any weight all over. How can I gain weight all over and not just my stomach? By the way I'm 5'2 1/2, weigh 110 and I'm 17. Thanks for your time.

To gain all over you'll have to lift weights, add more nuts and proteins to your diet. Squats will thicken your entire body up fast, they release more growth hormones because they work such a large muscle group.

Don't worry about bulking up too much, you would have to decide to become Miss. Universe and train hardcore before you would start looking awkward. I think muscle weighs 5 times the amount of fat or something like that. It is definitely more dense anyways.

Oh, don't start eating too much more. It will become a habit and as your metabolism slows in 10 years you'll be back on Yahoo asking how to loose weight. Eat like you are now, add some more protein and get lifting.

Well I don't know why your doctor says you should be gaining weight, with your height your weight is about where it should be. I'm thin like you and I'm 5'7' and weigh 115 pounds and my doctor says I'm fine and I'm 5 inches taller than you . It sounds like your bodies kinda like mines. Your body eats up your fat way faster then everyone else's( so it's hard to gain weight). But if your not sick , and your healthy, why would you wanna gain weight ? You know how many girls are at home right now, working out to be thin? Don't be ashamed of it , you should love your body. But if you wanna gain some weight I don't think junk food will do it . Try:

Eating 5-6 meals a day
3 Large Meals , 3 Snacks

Eat high energy foods

Don't skip meals

But I also think you should ask your doctor ways you can gain more weight.

Good Luck!

hey hun i have two words.....weights & protien!... you see you have eatin' all the junk food you can hold and it ain't done a bit of good has it?...that because you have a wonderfully high motablism....you see you can eat the right things like veggies and fruits and things and still gain weight....because unlike candy and junk food these foods have the vitumins your body needs to help you grow...now if you can get some weights (im not sayin' to go and grab some 30 pound dumb bells) just something like 6lb 8 lb and even10lb (or more if you like) and get some protien in your system (tuna fish, protien bars and powders, chicken breast, eggs, ground turkey) and get to liftin'...i promise you wont bulk up like a guy cause our hormones wont allow that and you will gain muscle there for gaining weight....just remeber it is good weight because it is muscle not fat and you will still look nice and trim because muslce takes up so much less space....i wish you luck....love daisy

The Peanut Butter will furnish you with Protein, even as the Jelly has lot's of High Fructose, and Sugars, to support placed of the burden. You would possibly wan't to examine out a few inexpensive CVS Pharmacy over-the-counter forms of usual herb capsules to support help the muscle groups. I can not suppose of any names of those forms, however I do realize they exist, I've heard of folks taking them, and had well outcome whilst taken customarily.

Perhaps you have a very fast metabolism. You will probably find it very difficult to gain fat so you will probably only be able to gain weight. Eat healthy and excercise.
