I am just curious.

How do Caucasion women feel about Chinese men? I mean the modern, yuppy kind? I also mean Chinese from all over the world ano not just China. What kind of impression do you have on them? Do you think they are okay or do you despise them?

I am a Chinese man and I am from Canada. My gf is a Caucasion and we have known each other for 2 years.

However, when I tried to propose to her, she is hesistant. It seems there is opposition from her family and friends. There also seems to be negative feelings about her being married to a Chinese.

In fact, ever since she introduced me to her family, it seems it is more difficult to get her to go out with me. It seems her family disapprove of our relationship and her being married to a Chinese. She also seems to be more embarrassed now when she is with me.

So the question is, is there anything negative you feel you have on Chinese men?

Stereotypically I see them as quiet, inteligent and hard-working men. They are always nice and polite and very helpful. I know and have worked with several Chinese men and this is the impression I get that seems to fit with what other people I know think as well.
I can't think of any reason why people would despise Chinese men... unless they are crazy people jealous of happy successful people.

Personally I don't see ethnicity. I have two sisters and a brother who are adopted from Columbia and can not differentiate between them and my deceased bilogical sister, at least from a brotherly perspective. Fact is this...there are going to be chicks who dig you just because you are a Chinese man and that is that.

It really depends upon the individual. I know several men of chinese decent and they seem kind and quiet.

Wow.
Way to totally insult a culture by implying that there is no variation or individuality present in said culture.
