Train up a child in the way he should go, and he will not depart from his faith. This is a saying from the book of Proverbs in the bible. It is possible to teach kids to just say no to premarital sex and to teach them to wait until marriage.

Of course I would like them to remain chaste--until marraige; not 16, not 18, not 21. Chastity is probably one of the most important values that our generation has forgotten. And that's just too bad because look at how much trouble it has caused in our society...

Absolutely not. I would hope that she learns responsibility with it and wait til she's old enough, and love the person, but honestly I have seen more of my friends unhappy in marriage when they didnt sew their WILD oats first and then be ready to settle down. I would hope that my kids get their education and do some travelling and experience life some before they get married and have a family and I think some sexual knowledge is a good thing in a marriage.

No, as long as they were old enough to make the choice. My oldest girl lost her v at too early an age, and she waqsn't reaqdy for the emotional baggage (or the baby.....) The younger daughter waited until SHE was ready, and then pretty much said, "It's time to get rid of this virginity thing...", so she did!

I do not think that young teens are ready for this, though, and I think that it is important to TALK and TALK to your kids.

I would prefer marriage, however if that is not what you were looking for I would say about 22-23.

I don't thing people are mature enough to handle it outside of marriage until about that age.

Childre become sexually motivaed sometimes at the age of 9 or 10

In the old days they used to marry the children at 13 yrs.

And Paul wrote if your virgins burn, then let them marry..

Hes saying dont chance fornication...

Until they are in a committed and monogamous relationship. I just want to teach them what love is and that they should not be afraid to wait until they've found it. I'm not asking them to wait until marriage, because I don't expect them to get married. People thinking they have to get married is why 50% of marriages fail. It's not for everyone!
