The Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God, appeared 6 times to 3 shepherd children; Lucy, Francisco and Jacinta; between May 13 and October 13, 1917. The third secret somewhat controversial, has to do with the faith of the believers being compromised...they will lose their faith.Some say that the 3rd secret has not been fully revealed, because it was supposed to be revealed in 1960, and because much has happened since then, those in the higher levels of the vatican have supresssed it. Even EWTN's foundress Mother Angelica stated in 2000 that the 3rd secret announcement was not fully revealed.
The last surviving visionary, Sister Lucy, who died february 13,2005,was silenced by the vatican, so they controversy about the 3rd secret continues.
