Do you think that "small" mistakes lead to big tragedies...? And great successes can come from "small" luck of the draw? If so, does that make you afraid of making mistakes...?

We have to take chances. We live and learn by the mistakes we have made. We can"t change the past, but we can change the future. We must pray, and ask God to help us to over come our mistakes. we should seek Him for the will of our life. I ask God everyday to help me to resist all evil and temptation. We have to walk close to Him, and put our Faith and Trust in Him. With God all things are possible. He can bring us through anything. I ask Him to help me make the right decisions.

Take a risk that could have a negative result, but not threaten your life, or your livelyhood. Almost expect to make a mistake, and see what happens if you make a mistake. You will find that life goes on. I've made plenty of mistakes and I've learned from them. You learn from your mistakes. Don't gamble. But don't be afraid to make a decision that has some risk, you just need to prepare for the worst case scenario. Speaking of worst case scenario, if you realistically look at the worst case scenario, you may find that the worst case scenario is not nearly as bad as you feared. Sometimes I think of the worst case scenario when weighing a decision. Usually you don't get the best case, or worst case. Something in between. But sometimes you are surprised pleasantly. I think about 95 percent of what we worry about doesn't happen, and the 5 percent that we don't worry about or aren't aware of is the part that we should think about.
It's kind of like a guy sitting there smoking a cigarrette worrying about making the house payment, when he's at risk for cancer.
Eliminate all the un-necessary risks in your life, then you might live a better life, while taking calculated risks that turn out good sometimes.

I am constantly afraid of making mistakes, to the point is actually very hindering. Unfortunately, the way I've learned to deal with it is just to force myself to do what I fear I might mess up.

Small mistakes could lead to either tragedy or success. Life is a gable that way. But you have to keep on moving on unless you want to waste your life sitting in corner afraid to move.

We all have the fear of making mistakes. Though I am a Christian, sometimes I find myself very worried that even the smallest mistake will alienate me from both God and those around me. For example, every time I look at websites I shouldn't (a habit I am deperately trying to break), I feel terrible afterwards. I begin feeling depressed, but then I realize that God wants to help, and that he forgives me. that is how I overcome my fear of making mistakes, and sometimes it also helps to redice the mistakes I make. You're human, so don't feel terrible when you make a mistake. Repent, and try not to do it again. I'll pray for you.

Fear of making mistakes can paralyze you, make you unable (unwilling) to make choices for fear of making the wrong one. But there isn't usually a right one, and you ARE going to make mistakes. Those are what you learn from.

Act as if you're already living your life for the second time, and as if you're screwing it up just as badly this time as you did last time. (not quite accurate quote of Viktor Frankl) In other words, lighten up and take a few risks. Martin Luther said "Sin boldly." Same attitude. Mistakes are inevitable, and sooner or later you die, as everyone does. Everyone. So get out there and live, get dirty, get hurt, take chances, and when life finally sends you to the showers, you'll have some accomplishments and experiences to remember, not a string of whimpering excuses.

Realize that we are all human and we all make mistakes.

There is much forgiveness in the world --true sometimes a small mistake can have grave consequences, but life goes on, and we all learn from each other.

It is great that you are mindful of how we all have an impact on each other and the world around us -- this is a great way to be!! But don't let it paralyze you from living! You are bound to make mistakes until the day you die, like all of us.

Forgive yourself, forgive others, learn, let go and live!

Do simple things in which you know you will not make mistakes. Keep doing that. Sooner or later you should find yourself confident enough not to fear making mistakes. We all make mistakes. It's how we react to them that makes the difference. You cannot go your whole life in fear of making mistakes or it's going to be a scary ride.

Mistakes happen for us to learn from. If you make a big mistake and regret it a lot later and feel like it's ruined your life, then you know not to make that same mistake later. You have to roll with the punches, and just take whatever life gives you.

Mistakes are committed knowingly or unknowingly. When we are not aware of something and not of its consequences because of which others suffer, you feel helpless. This is beyond your control but an experience for not repeating it.
A second one is committed knowingly and deliberately which is unpardonable. A person with a clear conscientious never does that. In your case you fear of making mistakes and that itself guards against committing mistakes knowingly.
Cultivate the habit of evaluating various circumstances and taking the decision. Feedbacks help you further.

Yes! I do believe in this, but I do not think this makes you afraid of making mistakes. If you are afraid of making mistakes the one thing to remember is everyone makes them. You don't have to be perfect. The only one who could ever be perfect is GOD! There is no way anyone else could do his job!
