Depending on if the car is in "Excellent" condition meaning that the vehicle looks new, is in excellent mechanical condition and needs no reconditioning. This vehicle has never had any paint or body work and is free of rust. The vehicle has a clean title history and will pass a smog and safety inspection. The engine compartment is clean, with no fluid leaks and is free of any wear or visible defects. The vehicle also has complete and verifiable service records. Less than 5% of all used vehicles fall into this category. If so, the car is valued at 7,700. Yes it's worth it.

1. Have a trusted private mechanic do an inexpensive *cooling system pressure test which will find any external or internal coolant leaks. #2. How many times since the car was new, has the cooling system been drained, flushed and CLEANED with one part acid cooling system cleaner to get the rust and corrosion out of the cooling system? #3. After the cooling system has been cleaned, install a new Nissan thermostat and radiator pressure cap. #4. Make sure the electric radiator cooling fan switches on when the coolant temperature reaches 212 degrees.

Kelly Blue Book lists it in good condition at $4175 so it sounds like the price is in the right area. You might want to have it checked by a mechanic prior to purchase. $100 to a mechanic can save you $4000 in the long run.
