You run the risk of getting pregnant each and every time you have sex. But, the pill is the only form of birth control I and my now husband have used for the last 5 years, and I've never been pregnant. The pill is something like 99% effective.

P.S. The pill won't save you from STDs. You should still use condoms.

If you use the pill properly it has an effective rate of OVER 99%. You have to make sure though that you take it every single day. It is also best if you take it around the same time each day. If you miss a pill you aren't safe for about a week after the missed pill and should use an alternate form of birth control.

There is no 100% sure way not to get pregnant if you are having sex....from condoms to the pill people use them and still get pregnant......people will tell you to have safe sex but there is no such thing as safe sex......the only safe thing to do is abstain from sex and wait until you are married.

There are alot of other things to concider besides pregnancy when it comes to sex.....one of the big factors is emotions......a person can go into having sex thinking it wont effect them emotionally if they dont let it, but that is a falsehood
because there are emotions that go along with it....most come when the boyfriend decides to break up with the girl and leaves her feeling alone, used and thrown away or maybe its shame because maybe the girlfriend really didnt want to have sex but to please the boyfriend she does it anyway......lets face it sex can be emotional.

Then there is the other stuff you have to think about......social diseases and aids.......I dont think you want either of those things and having sex before marriage isnt the way to keep you safe. In a person's life they will more than likely have more than one boyfriend before they settle down and marry...... now think about this.......dont you think its kind of gross to just have sex with each boyfriend.....why on earth throw yourself away on a guy that might up and leave you.....its not worth it.

When God created man and woman he created making love to be done in the marriage bed not any other way.........if the boyfriend you have now is the one you will someday marry and you should tell him you dont want to have sex now and if he doesnt understand or says something like " if you love then you would" ......then tell him to hit the road......because if a person loves you they will wait for you ...if he isnt willing to do that then its best you know that now so you can get out of the relationship and find someone who is worthy of you and your love.

Whoever you do end up with appreciate the fact that you did wait and your honeymoon will be a very special night........I urge you to abstain from sex its the only sure way not to get pregnant.

God Bless you!

My friend was on birth control just for her period to become normal. After 5 months of being on it, she had sex with some guy, used a condom and still got pregnant.

Birthcontrol is not 100% effective. . only about 95% to 98% effective. This is why your man should do what they do in the movies. . . get it up. . get it in. . .get it on. . get it out. . and then get it off! Got it? Good! Let your man spray it all over your back and see his good work. A jism baptism so to speak. . .I say. . .can I get a witness from the congregation. . . AMEN!
