When you feel the munchies coming on, try to get out of the room where the food is and try to get your mind on another thing. Try playing a word or numbers game - like Soduko. [They have tons of free Sudoko games online and they are addictive!]. You could also try watching a movie that you KNOW will keep your mind involved [this can be hard] or calling up a friend and chatting or even going out.
You can also drink a LARGE cup of ice water. This will fill your stomach up and try and help your body remember that it is not hungry.
If you are very, very disciplined, when you feel a binge coming on, try to have just a tiny, tiny bit of whatever it is you really want. For instance, if you want to eat an entire package of Oreos eat JUST ONE. Denying the urges can sometimes make the desire to binge happen more frequently, but it can also be very hard to stop eating once you have started.
Above all else, do NOT get down on yourself when this happens. Making yourself feel depressed or otherwise low can actually make you want to eat more. Remind yourself that you are a very important person and you do not need this food. If you feel like you don't care, remind yourself how special and unique you are. It sounds corny, but it can really help.
I really hope at least some of this helped. Good luck!

You are probably eating too many carbohydrates (sugars and starches). Your body burns these up very quickly, leaving you hungry for more. Try to reduce the amount of pasta, rice, bread and other starchy foods you eat. Switch to sugar free drinks and snacks. Since I began a low carb lifestyle a few years ago, I no longer have cravings and I eat a lot less.

A handful of cashews can do wonders, haven't figured out if they just make me not hungry or sick yet though. Either way a handful and i'm not craving for 4-5 hours.
Doing push-ups until failure also works for me, plus I can't feed myself afterwards if I wanted to.
Stand infront of a full length mirror and ask yourself if you are really hungry, the further away from the mirror you need to stand to see yourself the less hungry you should be.
Celery is good too. it has low if any/negative calories, just avoid topping with cream cheese or peanut butter.

Try to find love in most of your relationships. Love your colleagues, friends, and family in ways that you can and u will find a couple among them loving u in a way that pampers your ego. Love is all we need in myriad ways. Try talking to different kinds of people and make it a habit to do so whenever u have time. Talking to people of different cultures and languages contributes a lot in knowing who u really are and what is ur true driving force. U might not be drawn to each one of their experiences or lifestyles but u will definitely find one among the lot that satisfies ur inner pangs of emotion, which is what seems to be "craving" as u mentioned. Good luck to you.

eat foods that take a long time to prepare and are good for you so that you can afford to eat them while you are preparing them, such as carrots- slicing them takes time, or making a salad, or cut up olives, light popcorn, things that have a lot of substance or pieces but are low in the calories and fat. Good luck. And stop smoking pot if thats what you are doing too
