Please stick with scripture, and tell me what you think about this.

2Th 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

Gospel:
1Co 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
1Co 15:2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
1Co 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
1Co 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Rom 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Rom 6:5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
Rom 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Rom 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Yet another question. Why do many people leave the essentiallity of baptism out of the equation of salvation?

Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

The power of the baptism is in the gospel of Christ and in his resurrection.

1Pe 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

in context, you will find that these all refer to water baptism.

1Pe 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
1Pe 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us

I see that you have a cross on your Bible, do you feel that you need these aids? Yes I can see that you have correctly quoted scripture and that you are using the Autherised Version of the Bible which is the only accurate translation.
I am not 100% sure what you are asking by your question though. We obey the gospel of Christ by living in a Christlike manner every day, spending time with God and reading the Scriptures so we always have an answer to those who may ask us questions.
However, there is Romans 8:1 "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit.

The word of God, The first testament, the second testament, The four versions of the bible of the established church, the Unexplained Gospel of Apostle Barnabe, Do you know that the bible you are reading today could actually not be the word of god, Could the original have been tampered, Has god or even Jesus spoken directly to you, NO! See? Jesus rose from the dead, jesus went to such and such a place, jesus did this jesus did that, Thats indirect speech, ask your pastor not to lie and tell you who actually is the Authour of the Bible, Ever watch the GodTV, Man they are a marooned lot, God is a comodity, marketed like any other and The Bible is a bestseller, beats even Harry potter,
LOL,
The true Bible should have actually been written down during the times of jesus and who did it, Barnabe,
Who reads his version, NO one, Why? Cause he said that jesus says "That I am Of the flesh and blood, I am but a messenger of the Lord bringing to you the commandments of the lord God. He is But one, he alone should be worshipped, and he is our father in heaven" Now does that make all of you the children of God?
Brother Christians of today are a confused lot,
Do you believe in a god who brutally murdered his own son on the cross?
Do you believe in a Jesus christ who could not save himself and promises to save you?
Do you love the Jews that actually were responsible for killing Your lord Jesus Christ.

To put it simply, there are a couple of ways. These all depend on your perception of what "obeying Christ" means.

First off you can choose to follow word for word the bible, as it being the word of God. Though this usually leads to the whole 'being bitten by poisonous snakes, and dying only if your unworthy of god' whole scenario.

Secondly, you can always try to live your life to the fullest and do unto others as you would want done to you, cloth the naked, feed the hungry...yada yada yada...

Or lastly, you can think over it long and hard by yourself. Because ultimately you don't need others telling you what to do, especially if spirituality is important to you, these are conclusions we need to come to ourselves, and not some common thing that others can so easily shape.

Scripture Only goes so far in showing us in various ways, the path toward enlightenment in God. It can easily be skewed to mean many things. If God wished you to figure it out so easily, assuredly it would have been written in far more concise terms.

I notice that all of your verses here are from the Epistles. If you are going to obey Christ then you need to know what He has commanded. You will find these in the Gospels. The Epistles are commentaries on the Gospels. Get yourself a good red letter edition of the Bible and read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. These contain everything you need to know to obey the commands of Jesus. Then read Acts, its all about the birth of the Church.

There are 4 Gospel stories recorded in the Bible. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

The Gospel is the story of Jesus' birth, life, death, and resurrection. Obedience to the Gospel means. to make Jesus your personal Lord and Savior and follow Him.

Salvation comes not from anything we can do but, because of what Jesus did on the cross. His blood saves us. Nothing but the blood of Jesus. The Bible states that Jesus became the ultimate sacrifice for our sin to take our place because God won't allow sin into Heaven.

Water Baptism is important because it is a testimony to others that you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior. That you believe that Jesus is God's only begotten Son and You believe that you have been given the gift of the person of the Holy Spirit to guide you.

I, once belonged to the group of Christians who believed that baptism was necessary for salvation and instrumental music during worship service would send you to hell. I have since learned that my worship service is my life for Him.

There were instances of people being saved and not being baptized. The thief one the cross for one. The comeback for that was that Jesus was alive and could save him there in person. That's true and no one was saved until after Jesus death. Jesus is ALIVE NOW and personally saves us because of our belief in Him as our personal Lord and Savior. I'm not at all knocking water baptism because we are told to do it (obedience). It is the outward expression of our spiritial baptism.

When you accept Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit. This is a Spiritual Baptism. The water doesn't save us. His blood because of our obedience to accept Him does.

You quoted the scripture about Noah. Notice in this scripture that the emphasis is on the fact that the people of Noah's time were waiting for Jesus' death and his descention into Hades (the place of the dead) to preach to them for them to accept Him for their salvation.

God sacrificed His Son so that we could be saved by Him and He wants us to have a personal relationship with His Son, and be filled with His Holy Spirit.

God has not told us to become a member of any religion or denomination other than Jesus Himself.

Jesus emphasized that we are not to live according to a written law. Paul explained that we are under the perfect law of freedom. So for me, "obedience" is not an issue. I try to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and I know that when I miss the mark, it's okay.

If you really think that you can interpret the Gospel with your own mind, then, I tell you pal, you are totally lost. I studied Bible interpretation in the university and cannot have a clear view yet if I don't take advise from serious sources and past interpretations.

30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'
31 The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."

You have to understand the significance of baptism...

Back in the old testament...the priest went into the temple and they had several pieces of furniture one was an alter
of incense...another was the brazen alter ..where the sacrifice was burned the blood was presented in the holiest of holies...and sprinkled upon the mercy seat...well the priest had to at some point,..wash..in another piece of furniture called the laver of waters...and this is that type of cleansing..in Baptism the significance is two-fold...one to align yourself with the resurrection of Jesus..and two..to wash away the bloody mess after having the blood applied this is called the remitting of sin....because since the blood removed the sin from you the water removes the sin in the blood from you.....

But your salvation is simply put in Romans 10:9..That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.....Of course we know it doesn't stop there...but this is the base of our salvation...

Remember one who did not get baptised yet entered the kingdom of heaven...

Luke 23:42-43..42. And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
43. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.
The thief crucified with Jesus..God gave him a revelation of who Jesus was and he accepted Christ right on the cross...and he was not baptised yet he entered heaven...

Focus on Jesus..his way his word...but ..be careful not to condemn...any whether they would be baptised..or not..if they have Christ ...God bless
