What is your view on religion?

In my opinion, religion is just a way to answer all of the questions that we couldnt figure out. Since we couldnt figure out the answer, to, say, how the world was created, we made up a God that supposedly created the whole universe out of nothing.

well you know what i can only say one thing I've said it before and I'll say it again. "opinions are like assholes everybody has one, and most of the time they all stink" by the way this is in no way objectionitive to your question but rather an extension. Religion is very much a opinion, and every one has a different out look at it. I think that everyone no matter how much it may stink should be allowed their own views. I mean who's to say who can have an asshole??

I believe you don't have to pay to pray. Look how rich the church is. If you watch the History Channel, they talked about it the other night. The church has so much money, and involved in politics, it isn't funny.

god, or Gods were created for something to beleive in. Before it used to be Mother Earth. Then that wasn't good enough, so something else was created.

If Jesus is true, he was a Jew, so how did all these other religions start, and how did the Catholic's become the main church. And way back, in mideveal times, priest could marry. Maybe they should bring that one back, then maybe the priest would leave our children alone. And Jesus didn't beleive in church's, he preached out in the open, in the sun shine, and he didn't ask for money.
The church wants to control people's souls, so they tell you all this crap about hell, to scare children and keep them in line, along with the adults.

There is something, I don't know if it is a God, or Jesus, but something. What about people dieing and coming back to life, or having lived in another time. The church does not want you to beleive in that at all. they consider that evil. So who is right, and who is wrong. I believe in life and death, because that is something we can see and feel. If there is a God some where, tell him to heal the world and quite this war. Because if the bible is true, god did a lot of damage himself. The flood, and other things. Man on earth does enough damage, without us having to worry about God ending the world. Because if their is one, I have prayed for help, and nothing has happened for me.

I think there's a little more to it than what you've said, but you are clearly on the right track. People have an inherent need to believe in a supreme being, and others found a way to exploit that need and make a lot of money and gain a lot of power. That trend continues today and almost certainly will go on for a long, long time. Religion taps into fears and uses guilt to manipulate people. It is powerful stuff and has caused more death and wars than even money.

It's a good rationalization for Life's unexplained mysteries, particularly what happens to us after Death and why there's so much misery and suffering in the world. On the other hand, I can't look at a spider's web, sunset, or newborn baby and think there's just nothing out there. I'm on the fence, but enjoying the journey.

Finally, religion is like a drug. In moderate doses and for the right reason, it can be beneficial. But mostly, it's abused.

Have you created a God to answer those questions for yourself? If not then how can you assume that anyone else would. People believe that certain historical events occured because they read documentation of those events. The Bible is a resource of documented events, which establish the existence of God. Believe it or not, people have been passing down information regarding God's existence, from generation to generation and so they continue.

Religion is like a child with a security blanket who grows up to be an insecure adult, using the same ratty blanket to have "blanket parties" on those who disagree with him.

Similar to what you said, religion started as a made-up answer when people didn't have an answer. Somewhere along the way people mistook their ignorance for knowledge and religion has been with us ever since, much to out detriment.

Looks like you dont believe in GOD, lets see if GOD exists or not?

1) Plug the wire of a TV into the socket. Dont switch it ON. leave it as it is.
My question to you, if no body switches it ON, can it switch ON by itself?

2) You are lost in a forest, there you see a house in the middle of the forest. you are certain that this house has been built by someone. you may not know who he is but you are dead sure that the house has a owner. WHY?

3)You dont see Infra-Red radiations, yet you believe its existence. you dont see the waves that are meitted while we talk, yet you can feel it. you have not seen a single galaxy yet you believe the presence of millions of galaxies. WHY?

4) You were not present when an Apple fell over Newton. And he discovered Gravity. yet you believe Newton discovered 'Gravity'. have you seen it? Yet you believe in the phenomenon called 'Gravity'.

5) Nobody knows where is the exact location of 'Mind' and the 'Soul' in the human body, yet millions accept its prescence.

If you can affirm all these without seeing them, Can not the whole of the universe be built by ALmighty GOD???

The truth is Monotheism. There is only ONE GOD. Not 2, 3 or more.

This is the truth. A small school cant exist on 2 principals. Any organization has ONE final Authority. Therefore how can the entire universe be run by 2, Trinity or more GODs???

Then, the next truth is GOD is imageless. GOD cant be compared with anything on earth. GOD cant have wife and kids. If GOD can have wife and kids and still be called GOD then we all are GODs.

The final truth is that any religion that asks you to submit yourself to GOD is 'The Real Truth'. There can be no Law greater than the Law of 'The Creater'.

Apply the 3 principals and you get Islam. Which believes in Monotheism, doesnt give any image to GOD and asks its followers to submit their will (wholeheartedly) to GOD.

You cant have your own laws. If you buy a TV. Dont you refer to the instruction manual for the TV? Or you just mess it up as you like it since you OWN it?

The body which we have is not ours. Its a ctually a gift of ALmighty GOD which we have to use it as per his guidelines.

All the rules and Laws made by Man are subject to fail as Man doesnt know whats in store for him in the future. So Bow yourself to The will of GOD... In other words Submit your will to Almighty GOD. Enter Islam which means "Peace acquired by submitting your will to ALmighty GOD (ALLAH)"

Isn't it funny that it's always the religious zealots who want to ban teachings of evolutionism in classrooms, even though there's undeniable proof? What are they afraid of? That they'll be exposed as fairytale tellers?

I love how they say "prove that god didn't create humans..." Yeah? well prove that aliens didn't create humans.... You can't? That's what I thought.

God provides us with the purpose of our existence and if we seek to do good it is the same as seeking to do the will of God. Your belief in God only has value in so far as you live your life according to His purpose for you.



How then do we know what is the will of God? That is where religion comes in. GOD has revealed His will through prophets. To find out what this is you need to study the revelation.
