OK here it goes.. I have been hanging with a guy that seemed really keen and has been calling and texting me and stuff, and always complimenting me etc.. so we kissed a couple of times and he kept texting me to catch up, I finally asked him to a movie and he then gave me the lets be friends line and he isn't ready for a relationship, but likes me too much to hurt me while he figures stuff out with himself??? Why does he act soo keen and say this? he isn't a player or anything like that my bestfriend has known him for years, but his last 3 GF's have cheated on him.. is he scared or just not that into me??

It sounds as if to me he's scared of commitment because of past relationships. If you really like him tell him that you're willing to be friends with him without any relationship pressure right now. Just hang in there, I had a guy like that in my life, now we are married. It took awhile but he always knew he could count on me no matter what and that was what convinced him that I wasn't going to hurt him like the others. Good luck

it sound's like he is real keen on you and does feel allot for you, if his last three gf's have treated him this way it shouldn't be hard to understand why he feels the way he does i would be scared of another relationship to
give him some time but stay close to him and still ask him to the movies and things like that let him get to know you better on a personal basis and see if he comes around
don't give up hope where there is a little bit of light there can be allot of love

Sounds like he's been burned a few times and he's not trying to let it happen again anytime soon. Just give him time he'll come around. Let him ask you out the next time, and maybe don't be so available (phone,text etc;) give him a chance to miss you. He's definitely in to you so don't worry about that.

I think maybe he is scared to get into a relationship because of what his last girlfriends have done to him.Maybe he is being honest and doesn't want to lead you on. Maybe he likes you alot but also keeping his distance because he doesn't want to take it out on you what his last 3 girlfriends have done to him. So while you guys hang out just do things to assure him he can trust you or have your friend let him know that your a trusting person. It takes time to heal after you've been cheated on so maybe he just needs the time to heal and who knows buy you being a friend will let him know that there are good people out there.But if he is confusing you with his actions then you need to let him know. You deserve to know that. I wish you the best of luck with everything.

Sounds to me he is saying what he means-he likes you but not in that special way.Could be fear ,could be lack of "sparks". Keep your options open,he sounds like a nice guy and sometimes it takes awhile but you find what you were looking for right next to you.Just don't over react.Go out with some other men see whats out there. Sometimes just seeing what they missed is enough to make them realize you were the one all along.If it doesn't -well like you said hes a great guy-no harm ,no foul. Good luck!!

its all a load of crap, the whole im not ready, dont want to ruin the friendship. he has lost interest. a guys biggest fear is letting a girl know truthfully that he has lost interest. its easier to lie and stuff. when a guy falls for a girl, the past doesnt matter! please dont hang on every word he says, he will only break your heart if you wait for him.
