Remember that the Bible is a work of fiction, written a couple of millennia ago by writers as a mainly political work, when nothing about dinosaurs was known. The writers used the tools at their disposal.

Who says there isn't? Doesn't Genesis talk about all the creeping things and reptiles and beasts of the earth? Doesn't it talk about all the monsters of the deep? Doesn't the Book of Psalms talk about "that dragon which Thou hast made to play there"?

If one takes every word in the Bible literally according to a 20th or 21st century interpretation based on our vision of life, one can include or exclude a lot of strange notions that are not the meaning of the Holy Scriptures. To understand the Scriptures, one has to enter into the mind of the Church, which is the mind of Christ.

Finally, as an analogy to your question - why doesn't the Bible refer specifically to Mars or Venus or Saturn or the Crab Nebula? Instead it refers to the "stars", which covers a great multitude of the heavenly host which God has "numbered and calleth them all by name" - but not necessarily in the text of the Bible!

There is, but not the word "dinosaur", that came much later. They are usually referred to as great behemoths or great beasts. Some people think that that refers to such things as elephants, but they do not; people back then had words for elephants and other really large animals and those words are not used in conjunction with the ones I typed in above. Keep digging and you'll see what I mean!

the Bible does not name all the animal species by name but Genesis talks about All Animals and dinosaurs would be included in that since dinosaurs were Animals!

Lots of things are not in the Bible. The Bible was not written to be a science book or encyclopedia of general knowledge.

The Bible is a book of spiritual understanding as well as the story of God as experienced by individuals and cultures in antiquity. It provides foundational understandings of how to live and care for others.

A mere oversite old chum. The authors were much too busy chronicalling the dinosaurs in their midst. I'm sure that oversight will be corrected when the next chapter gets written, real soon.

how come there is nothing about hummung birds in the Bible??? not all animals were mentioned, unless they played a certain role in the story or events.
I guess the big lizzards didn't make the popular vote... neither the hummingbirds... or the armadillo...

Because the person who wrote it, didn't know that the dinosaurs ever existed! So much for God's words.
