Possibly its because, for starters, they believe in two people, one of whom was made of "mud", who sat around naked, eating apples, in the presence of a talking snake. Later on, they showed that, in those days, incest was not only OK, but it was a necessity. They were "begetting" with sisters, mothers, brothers.....hell it got too compicated to follow. It just gets better from there. I still wonder why only one of them was made out of mud. Did God run out of mud? If, say, 10 people were made out of mud, it would have eliminated the need for incest. This was, in my opinion, poor planning. I imagine even the talking snake could not believe what he was seeing. But, there you have it.

Very generalised assumption. I see someone has answered about 2 people Adam and eve made out of mud. And they The an apple. For reference it never actually said what fruit was eaten and many people had just picked it to be an apple. I could say why are people who don't believe in God stupid. But I don't believe that anyway.

I am not certain that people who believe in God are stupid...but they sure do have ridiculous justifications. The thing that seems to be most irritating is their belief that if you don't believe as they do... you are lost and destined to be somehow punished after death. The whole bit about Jesus is so blatantly untrue...and yet the 'truly devout' argue incessantly that we must accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior to get into Heaven. What does that say for all the millions of Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, and atheists?? I think that Christians are the most intolerant of all religions and that's the whole problem: If you really believed in God (the one in the Bible) you would be bound to follow the precepts of the deity it is devoted to, right? If this is true....wouldn't you have to accept others and love them regardless of their beliefs??? I think it is the hypocrisy of the Christian and the arrogant assumption of 'rightness' that makes most people think they are stupid.

I believe in God. It is not stupid to believe that we have a creator. Maybe those that think we just appeared out of nowhere are the stupid ones. Belief in a religion is another thing. To me , that's not too smart.

The majority of the world believes in God (or some form of God.) So is the majority of the world stupid? Maybe... but it seems unlikely.

It's not stupid to believe in God. It's stupid to be a fanatic and try to shove your beliefs down others throats.

Not all them are. Some of them are.
The bible is an excuse. They can be as stupid as they want, do all that they want, as long as they believe. The prey that thier sins are forgiven then go and do the same thing over.
The bible doesnt teach nor does it punish.
Its more of a Mother is just gives and gives yet tells you one day she will give you something you alway wanted, as long as you believe and confess to your sins.
Keep on confessing.
Also, some people are just plain dumb. <3
