Murder? None. I think even state sanctioned death penalties are wrong. Self defense may be an exception, but even then its easy to incapacitate someone rather than killing them. Shotgun + Kneecaps = End of threat.
Abortion is another exception. As abhorrent as I find the practice, I find it more troubling when people are not permitted to determine what happens to their bodies.
Assisted Suicide? When someone who is of sound mind and is facing a prolonged illness with pain and no chance for recovery or whose condition keeps them in a vegetative state. Their spouse or next available closest relative should be allowed to make that decision.

Okay, so many people are going to disagree but I have to say that for in almost every circumstance, murder is wrong. However, there are instances where there should be "justifiable murder." Such as if a someone molests your children or murders someone close to you. I am not saying that it is "morally correct" but I think these instances can push a otherwise well-adjusted person over the edge, and they may do something that is wrong, but is understandable at least.
As for assisted-suicide, if someone is of sound-mind and in unbearable pain then assisted-suicide is a justifiable option.

This is a tough question. I feel that no one should have to live as a vegetable. However I feel that murder and suicide are both wrong. As much as I hate to say it, it is never morally okay to kill or assist in suicide.

i don't believe murder is ever justifiable. killing someone in self-defense, or in the defense of others even, may be - but then it isn't murder.
assisted suicide is another topic completely. i believe that if a person in his/her sound mind wants to commit suicide, it is their right to do so. if they are unable to do so themselves, then they should be able to get someone to help them. legally. there is nothing morally wrong with it. i would, of course, say that there should be a psychological evaluation to ensure that the person is in his/her sound mind, and some kind of a quick process, something like obtaining a court's permission, to avoid future accusations of murder for the person assisting, but having taken those precautions, i see no reason why it should be a unacceptable at all.

For murder, I would say almost never. For assisted suicide, I think that if a terminally-ill person wants to die, they should be allowed to. Why should their suffering be prolonged? A doctor or a friend should be able to assist to alleviate that suffering.

When a person is in advanced stages of a terminal illness and their pain is so unbearable that no matter how much pain killers they are on they are suffering then I feel that the patient should have the right to ask to be given a lethal dose of morphine.
When a person is brain dead and their is no chance of recovery and they need machinery to keep them alive, they should be allowed to pass on. I don't believe in keeping people in these "half lives" for an eternity.

Some people would disagree totally with the terms used here if referring to the acts I think you are. Some say that self defense that results in a death is not called murder at all, etc.

If someone were to kill my kids, I will murder them ASAP, even if I have to premeditate and cold-bloodedly hunt them down.
If someone is in so much pain that their quality of life is next to nothing, then assisted suicide is acceptable.

Those are two completely different things, you can kill someone if you are defending yourself or someone else.
And assisted suicide is fine as long as the subject is of sound mind and willing.
