Christians cannot convert to Messianic Judaism. Messianic Judaism is not its own religion, either. Messianic Judaism is simply Jews professing faith in Jesus as the Son of God and the redeemer of Israel. In short, Jews becoming Christ followers.

Considering that Jesus came to earth to redeem Israel and graft Gentiles into the fold of redemption, I think Messianic Judaism is the fulfillment of God's plan for His people and I really admire Messianic Jews for taking such a huge step of faith (probably against the will of their families).

its an oxymoron

have you ever heard of Buddhist Christians or Islamic Jews?

a person can be Christian and practice Jewish customs but to call it Judaism when it is philosophically identical to Protestant Christianity is a sham and a disgrace.

the concept was developed as a way to convert Jews to Christianity and still allow themselves to be considered Jewish.

the fact is you are either one or the other.

"Messianic Judaism" is simply christianity with a higher density of jews among them (and, just so its clear, the majority of "messianic jews" are in no way jewish) than other christian groups.

As a movement, it is despicable in that it employs modern jewish symbols to give itself a jewish veneer. For example, the common use skullcaps and stars of david.

The movement began as an attempt to find better ways to missionize jews. They found that jews don't like words like "church" and "jesus", so they started using terms like "temple" and "yeshua" to help coax jews into accepting christianity.

What upsets me is their deceptive methods. If they were honest, and called a spade a spade (namely, called themselves christians), I wouldn't have a problem. However, their deception coupled with the shallow nature of their "judaism" makes them an abhorable group.
