You don't need to run to loose weight. Walking will work just as well but it takes a little longer. Swimming is also good, if you have arthritis. However, increasing exercise does not work, if you increase calorie intake. So, control or lower calories, and increase exercise. It will work every time.

Walk walk walk! Walking is one of the easiest and best ways to lose weight. Of course you have to change your diet and drink lots of water too. You should be able to lose 10 lbs in 2 months, cuz they say that to lose weight the smart way is to lose about 1-2 lbs a week. Of course, it all depends on how overweight you really are. The closer you get to your goal weight, the slower it gets (and the harder too!) Your body might also hit a plateau (stops losing weight), so, then you have to just up your exercise. Don't starve yourself whatever you do though, cuz then your body will go into starvation mode and save every ounce of fat! Eat a healthy breakfast, and lunch and dinner. Plus 2 100 calorie snacks in between meals. Then, don't eat anything after 7:30pm! And get your sneakers on and start walking to a better you!! Good luck!!

u could try swimming or some kind of water therapy because the water helps to keep the weight off your legs . You also have to watch ur diet and try not to eat too late because the body is not active it will turn most late meal into fat. According to Oprah u should not eat after 7:30 pm

Use an elliptical machine. It gives you the same workout as running.. you can go just as fast as if you were running, but it puts no pressure on your joints. I do this because I have bad knees and bad ankles. I can do this twice as long as biking or the treadmill.

try an elliptical machine.. its like a treadmill but built for people with joint discomforts,
also for a great exercise swimming is the most natural on earth anti gravity system so it puts very little strain on your joints

Swimming and biking. Both won't put stress on your knees but will tone your body nicely (swimming especially).
