Thank you for your question.

It was good to see his emotion. His dad did a lot for Tiger Woods.

Earl Woods shared many of the techniques he used in rearing Tiger in two books: Training a Tiger and Playing Through: Straight Talk on Hard Work, Big Dreams and Adventures with Tiger. He had been criticized by some for putting too much pressure on Tiger at an early age but his son remained devoted to him.

Tiger Woods issued this statement on his Dad's death.

"I’m very saddened to share the news of my father’s passing at home early this morning. My dad was my best friend and greatest role model, and I will miss him deeply. I’m overwhelmed when I think of all of the great things he accomplished in his life. He was an amazing dad, coach, mentor, soldier, husband and friend. I wouldn’t be where I am today without him, and I’m honored to continue his legacy of sharing and caring. Thank you to all who are sending condolences to my family and our Foundation. We are truly blessed to have so many who care during this difficult time. "

You've had lots of good responses to the question you posed about Tiger getting emotional after his big win last week.

However, I need to offer the following comment, he cried after winning the "British Open"............not the "US Open".

Gambhir is lower back in form as he in basic terms scored a century in significant different and babies circuit so it may a sturdy thought to call in lower back for the 4th attempt and replace him, notwithstanding Rahane or Tiwary could nicely be a sturdy selection too.

I thought it was great that he won, but it was sad that his dad couldn't share his happiness with him...I knew that he was thinking of him on the last hole.

Great job Tiger - keep it up!

It was heart-warming because he was very happy about winning and thinking about his father. He knows that his dad is very proud and that he's looking down on him.
