I live in Colorado right now. And it is not mandatory to have the whole cosmotology license to be a hairstylist here. Does anyone know if that is the same in Florida?

AS a licensed cosmetologist I think it's better in the long run to actually have your license. I know some salons allow you to do certain things (& depending on how good you are some let you do it all). I think the actual schooling helps you understand things a little bit better though.

I really enjoyed my experience at cosmetologu school it was a lot of fun & very invormative. But unfortunately I'm not sure of the rules in Florida. What you can do is try to find some salons there & ask around, maybe they'll be able to help you out.

I wish you the best of luck, if you do go to school & need any help with anything feel free to ask

Not sure, but you should be very positive and assured you are making the right move at the right time. Florida could be the place for you, but is it the right time. God bless you
