There are many ways to fix or at least improve the look and feel of your hair.
First, consider how you care for your hair overall:
If you do not get it trimmed regularly (about every 6 weeks), start doing so. This will help get rid of split ends which are notorious for making hair look and feel "fried".
What type of brush do you use? Plastic bristled brushes tend to pull and tear hair. Try a boar bristle brush (such as a Mason Pearson) instead. The added benefit is that the boar bristled brushes also distribute the natural oils produced by the scalp more evenly.
What appliances do you use? Hairdryers, curling or straightening irons, etc. Anything heated is bound to damage hair over time. If you can let your hair dry naturally or not use the higher heat settings, that will help. Consider using a hair drying towel (or even paper towels) to sop up water from hair prior to blow drying so you do not have to expose your hair to the dryer as long. Also you can use the "cool setting" on your dryer (if applicable) as well.
Chemical processsing is also damaging. Perms, color, relaxers, etc., can cause damage. If you color and are coloring your entire head every time, try just touching up the roots. Perms and most relaxers have no way around damage.
If you can, you might consider skipping a day between washes to give your hair a break and to let natural oils work their magic.
Okay, onto quick fixes:
Use a hydrating shampoo and a conditioner for dry hair (or if you prefer, a detangler or leave in treatment)
Do a deep conditioning treatment/masque every 7-10 days (or more if needed).
Avoid shampoos and conditioners with lots of wax and/or alcohol. Alcohol dries and wax just builds up on hair without really treating the problem.

Here is a home remedy regimen for dry hair:
Use mayonnaise: Use a dollop of mayonnaise on the palm of the hand and massage it to the head and leave it on for five minutes before having the bath. The recommended time for the mayonnaise treatment is an hour.
Spray the beer: If you do not get any relief from using the mayonnaise, you can use beer as a good setting lotion that gives your hair the crisp, healthy and shiny look. You can pour some beer into an empty pump bottle and spray on the hair after shampooing and towel dry. Then you can style or blow-dry the hair.
Shampoo minimally: choose a shampoo for dry, damaged hair.
Condition your hair: Conditioner glues cuticles back to the shaft and lubricates them. It also prevents static electricity, thus preventing its frizzy appearance.
Cut off the split ends: Every six weeks or so

Try using 'Heavy Cream' by Redkin with a shower cap and a warm towel. Wash your locks, towel dry it so its not dripping wet, apply the Heavy Cream and put the shower cap on to keep the Cream from air drying. Then wrap your head in the warm towel (warm like it just came out of the dryer) and wait 15 minutes. Rinse clean and comb through. If using a blow dryer afterward then also spray in a leave-in conditioner. Repeat every 3rd shampooing.

Hi, I have been using a shampoo with tea tree oil in from Arbonne. I got it because my husband's head was so dry all the time. We have been using it for about 2 weeks now and it is great. I use the contitioner also and my hair is really soft. You can find it at www.wonderful.myarbonne.com and check it out on the online catalog. Good luck to you.

hot oil treatment. or use Sunsilk Soft Touch Shampoo and/or Palmolive Naturals Intensive Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner. this will help you soften your hair. but it's too expensive. imagine P272.00/$5.12 just for a 150mL bottle.
