Ideally wines should be kept on thier side (to prevent cork from drying out adn cracking, allowing air in) at the temp of 50 - 68 degrees out of sunlight darker the better generally

you can store wines at higher temps but is best only for short term (IE 1-2 months max)

You should store wine at about 60 degrees, or cellar temperature.
