I am a student; this evening in class we were having a discussion and the topic of nuclear bombs came up. Does anyone know if the United States would be at risk for radiation exposure if a nuclear bomb[s] were to explode in the Middle East?

No- Not too much.
We know how much radiation it takes to kill a person. We just don't know how little.

in the 50's and 60's there were many, many nuclear weapons set off in the atmosphere during the testing heyday, including some really huge ones. I think our Christmas Island test was 60 megatons, and the russians developed a 100Mton beast (presumably for EMP). There was a test ban treaty for this very reason, as radiation fallout was spreading.

Yes, fallout would travel all over the world! Most of it would fall on the place where the bomb went off, but some of it would reach the States. Maybe not much, but why put up with any of it? Search on the aftermath of Chernobyl, and you will find that the US was able to detect a small increase in background radiation from the accident there!

in case you explode a nuke underground everyone on earth, it instruments off seismometers international. So no, the US hasn't been undertaking underground nuclear tests. And no, 9/11 wasn't an interior interest or demolition or any of the different crap retards have self belief the two. fact is that conspiracy hoaxers make sh*t up. Why? some do it for the lulz. Congratulations on being the maximum modern sufferer of yet yet another Youtube hoax scam video.

Funny thing about nuclear bombs--the radiation would only reach your house. It would bypass the rest of us. You would be the only one to suffer. Sometimes you're at the wrong place at the wrong time in life. This is your unlucky day.

Oh yes, most certainly. Here's a link on 'worldwide' radiation exposure through the jet stream:
