I'll teach you English if you teach me Japanese... I always wanted to learn it! Well to answer your question, either 2 or 3 would work fine for the Toyota one. The difference is that number 1, although correct grammmatically, isn't what people would normally say when talking to each other. 2 is more natural sounding, like if you were talking about this guy and said ''Yeah, he works for Toyota''. He has been working for Toyota suggests that maybe he isn't doing it any more? or could be an answer to the question ''So what has he been doing lately?''.

Second question; ''I live in NY for 5 years'' or ''I'm living in NY for 5 years'' isn't correct in English. It is a rather childish way to express this, but you would still be understood. A better way would be to say 1 or 2. 1 is more conversational.

If you fancy teaching me Japanese I'd be very pleased!

Hope this helps! :)

For the man with the 10 year career at Toyota;
2. He works for Toyota
- is the best option you've provided, but if you want to make it clear that he's been working there for a long time ...
4. He works for Toyota, he's been with them for 10 years now.

For you;
I have been living in New York for 5 years.
- this also tells people that you still live there!

He works for Toyota

I've lived in NY for 5 years > past
I've been living in NY for 5 years > still live in NY

Okay, first the spelling is career, not carrer
Second If a man has been working for Toyota for 10 years, that implies that he is still there, so that would be the best.
Again, if you are still in New York, then I have been living in New York for five years is correct.
