First of all, the lack of a case for evolution is clear from the fact that no one has ever seen it happen. If it were a real process, evolution should still be occurring, and there should be many "transitional" forms that we could observe. What we see instead, of course, is an array of distinct "kinds" of plants and animals with many varieties within each kind, but with very clear, and apparently, unbridgeable gaps between the kinds. That is, for example, there are many varieties of dogs and many varieties of cats, but no "dats" or "cogs." Such variation is often called microevolution, and these minor horizontal (or downward) changes occur fairly often, but such changes are not true "vertical" evolution.

But it has been witnessed in the bean plant study. There are several other examples. The fact is that evolution takes a long time in animals and humans because our lives are generally very long, whereas plants and insects go through generations very quickly. That's why there are so many different types of the same kind of plant (such as ivy or corn) and so many different types of insects (such as flies).

Evolution Shmevolution. Does it matter?

Life is about growth. Growth IS evolution. If we are created by Something God or any thing else. This creator would by necessity have some mechanism to facilitate this growth or evolution. In all likelihood it probably would use many mechanisms. Some that might be known others completely unknown.

Point is it doesn’t matter. This whole debate is between little children who just want to be right.

It has nothing to do with God or with Science. It’s only purpose is to make insecure people feel like they know better than someone else does.

If you are a follower of Jesus you need to avoid this kindergarten debate completely. Jesus asks us to love our neighbors. We can’t do this if we are busy arguing with them and trying to make them wrong. Simple truth is we are here. Make the most of your current opportunity to be the love Jesus ask us to be.

Leave the pointless debate to those who are confused enough to think that it matters.

uh....we've been observing evolution happen for the past 100 years.

In large species, this takes more time than we have spent, but...

bacterial strains have evolved to be immune from the drugs that we have to fight them. Insect pests have evolved to be immune to the posions that we have for them.

And humans are getting taller.

You're not going to see a "dat" or a "cog", and the fact that species can't crossbreed shouldn't be blamed on the theory.

Perhaps you should look into this theory a little more, and also genetics, because there seems to be some confusion.

#1 we have seen evolution happen. You lied out of ignorance.
#2 according to evolution, ALL forms are transitional. again, so much for your knowledge on the subject
#3 DNA evidence has demonstrated that your concept of "kinds" is actually bogus. Again, a little education would help.

It looks to me like you don't have the first clue what you are talking about.

Get an education before you make more of an *** of yourself.

Means that people are whing that evolution can't exist because you can't watch it happen, and because dogs and cats aren't capable of interbreeding or something.

This in no way explains how humans formed as they have, growing from the neandrathals and whatnot, it more or less says that evolution can't occur because the changes are too small to notice, which is stupid.

Well, I think the evolutionists have a ready answer in Stephen Jay Gould's and Niles Eldredge's concept of "punctuated equilibrium."

Too much to go into here, but it is all related to the problems that the fossil record poses to the claims of evolutionary biologists.

I will answer with the favorite answer of a religious fundamentalist-You must have faith......

Faith in the science.
Faith in the evidence.
Faith in the research by much smarter people then you.
Faith that evolution isn't something you witness happening right in front of you.It is a gradual change over millions of years.

Evolution takes place over centuries if not Millena.

There is far more reason to believe in it than creationism which comes from a book which is merely allegory and metaphor, not history.

Evolution is a load of crap, just like global warming.

Evolution exists only as a thought, and it will never be outside the classification of 'theory'. Ever.

Also, I think people missed your point; as anyone who believes in evolution is naive and ignorant, so you can't blame them.

Evolution would be if after 50 years of fast food, electical appliances and office work, our bodies evolved to where our bodies would grow less adapt to being obese and adjust to our sedentary and high-cholesterol lifestyle
