I used to be heavy on the makeup as a teen because everyone else was wearing it and i thought that it made me look sexier too. some women have low self-esteem and will wear more than normal to make them look better. shoot, with all the dirty mags and super models out there it's no wonder that we have little 12 year olds all over the world wearing adult makeup becuase they see older men looking at things like that it makes them tend to think that is what all men want. i should know, i used to do that too.

if the woman you like is open to critisim, and most aren't you could talk to her about it, but you risk making her think bad thoughts and for two, then again she might take it as a compliment.

I never wore makeup until I turned 17. Ever since then, I am so used to it, I really can't stand to look at myself without it on. It is not so much that I want to attract guys (my boyfriend hates when I wear makeup), it is more for myself. I just feel better about myself with makeup on.

Even though personality should be what is most important, looks are the first thing that you see. Most women will show you what is behind the makeup once you take the time to get to know them(personality wise).

some women are liars just like how some men lie about wanting a 'nice' girl but at the same time, they're attracted to the slutty girls.we say one thing but mean another.too much make-up signals insecurity.bold make-up is able to get attention from some guys.it's like a present wrapped in fancy paper with a metallic bow but once you unwrap the box,it just may be an empty box inside.it's similar to when she takes off the make-up and you start more in depth conversation,it may surprise you.same thing could apply to guys who try to over compensate with their appearance.personality should matter more but in some cases, good looks win.shallow people attract shallows.they deserve each other then^__^

I stopped wearing makeup when I realized too much of my disposable income was going towards it. I also like to spend that money on food. And entertainment. Not superfical face paint!

Some girls feel the makeup makes them look better and for some girls, they don't wear it to impress a guy. Sometimes they do it to boost their own self-esteem.

Pressure from the media, high standards set by famous celebrities, being told what we're supposed to look like and then buying what we are told will make us look "beautiful".
What a controlled world in which we live.

Make up is a social thing. I say people use it to accentuate their best features. As far as those who use it like spackle, then I agree with you, I dont like it either, because it is excessive, and hides the true appearance of the person.
But who are we to tell people what to do, right ?

sometimes make up is their personality, some wear alot cause they like to be beautiful, center of attention, others alittle because they figure it's enough, guys like females in posters wearing lots of make up ...so why not regular girls...they feel good they look good they have it all ....it's not the make up....
