True, but I really believe Satan has many demons within them and around them and they need prayer to cast out these demons. I feel as if Satan logs on the computer when they get on here with mean comments. Don't get me wrong there are really nice missguided atheist too. I just hope and pray for them to see the truth. There are also mean Christians too, so I guess atheists have nice people and mean ones just as Christians do too.

1. Athiests and Agnostics use Public schools, like some Christians do.
2. They use hospitals too, and I'm sure have built some.
3. Feeding the poor has nothing to do with religion, but rather your own moral or personal decision.
4. Athiests don't believe in any God, Agnostics don't really know what, if anything they believe in.
5. Ok, you're mostly right about this one.
6. Same
7. Not necessarily, and Christians can say nasty critical things as well.
8. Some might love themselves, but what is wrong with self esteem? Doesn't God want you to love yourself too?
9. Athiests don't really believe in any God, and Agnostics just don't know.
10. Christians can also tear people down... as displayed by this question.

You say they tear down what others believe. What you are saying right now is tearing down my beliefs as an agnostic.
And hey, guess what? Do Catholics feed the poor? No. They take all their money and buy gold for the Pope.
I don't say critical things about Christians any more than Christians do about agnostics. And I do offer things to society. Not quite yet, but I'm only 15, but I am planning on researching alternate energy sources. Why? TO HELP SOCIETY. My dad is a handyman. He helps over 400 people in a retirement community with things they can't do, and at almost no profit. Why? Yes, to make a living, but also to help people. He is not religious. ISn't that giving to society? And he doesn't tear down religion. And I am not my own god. I have no god. That's the point. I, personally, do believe in Jesus, just that he was kind of schizophrenic, saw a god, and spread his word. Just watch Monty Python's Life of Brian. He became a savior by accident.
Just one thing: Warren Buffett is agnostic/athiest. He just gave 85% of his fortune to charity. How is that not generous/giving back to society?
So, you are basically being a hypocrite in your own question.

Ill fix you up a bit there...
1.No schools or universities built.. Have you looked into the history of EVERY school or university ever built? How do you know christians built them?
2. Built no hopsitals.. this is the same as number 1.. Do you know who built ever hospital? Do you even know the process that goes into having a hospital/school built? If you honestly think only religious ppl do these things, you are very diluded.
3. They dont feed the poor.. this is where your wrong, Christians feed the poor as they want to lead a life like the bible and go to heaven.. Athiests like myself who reguraly help out at shelters, do it because we have compassion and want to help..
4, 5, 6 Religion is a personal choice, Good on you for putting all your faith into a book and not into something worthy!
7. We say nasty things of ppl who believe in 1-6 well you have obviously only met a very select few athiests.. We dont like having religion pushed on us, so we like to keep our views to ourself unless asked otherwist.. unlike the preaching of a christian, interferring in ppls lives without invite..
8. No direction, this is so laughable I dont know if I can contain myself..
9. We dont believe in ANY GOD..
10. Because they dont believe they offer society nothing..
Well I put this to you.. You live your life here on Yahoo Answers where all the teenagers spend there days, and this is how you came to your opinion. Perhaps if you lived the life of an adult (which you never will as you dont think for yourself) you would see that weather or not you believe in a god, or you dont that does not make you a bad or better person, and when people like YOU quit with your immature outrageous comments the world will probably get along that little bit easier!

I think your being a satirical jerk. Atheists simply don't believe in a higher life form which is responsible for creating the universe. They grow tired of Christians and other religious groups pushing their beliefs on them, that's why they are negative at times. The only reason you don't see them contributing in huge ways like you say Christians do is because they aren't organized and don't have the power churches do. As for offering society something they offer it the chance to wake up and stop focusing on out dated belief systems that just drag us into wars and create barriers. If the world put half the effort into stopping world hunger, racism and prejudice, or eradicating disease that it does into religion it would be a much better place to live. So instead of accusing and judging other people do the "Christian" thing and just accept and respect Atheists anyway.

3. I have volunteered in a soup kitchen, tutored children for free when their parents could not afford to pay, volunteered in prisons with ex-offenders, acted as a rape victim's advocate and am a child abuse advocate.
5. I believe Jesus existed but not as a supernatural being.
6. The Bible is filled with contradictions and irrational, unbelievable stories. It's impossible for anyone who has read it and comprehended it to believe it. http://www.infidels.org/library/modern/jim_meritt/bible-contradictions.html
7. I have never said anything nasty to any person, Christian or not.
8. I have direction and I'm not sure how religion (or lack thereof) determines that.
9. I don't believe I'm a God. I believe I am responsible for my life, choices and the consequences of those choices.
10. I can't believe you wrote that comment about atheists not offering society anything. First, Christians claim to believe ALL life is worthwhile. Second, Abraham Lincoln and Albert Einstein have contributed significantly to the advancement of society. There are countless other atheists who have contributed to society as well. http://www.wonderfulatheistsofcfl.org/Quotes.htm

I am a atheist and you have some of your facts wrong
1.We do care about poor people just because we don't believe in god doesn't mean we don't have a heart.
2.We know Jesus was a real person
3.I am a nice person
4.I help people out all the time so i do offer society something.
To close this out you should look in the mirror and stop persecuting people for not having the same beliefs as you.

1-3: complete load of crap and an outright lie. Who do you think teaches and heals in those hospitals and universities? Country hillbillies who cling to 2000 year old dogma, think that evolution is false due to ignorance, and generally have no clue? Nope, it's educated people, and education is inversely correlated with fundamentalism.
4-6: Hey Einstein, look up the work "tautology". Are you retarded?
7: if you didn't lie and deceive people, you would be treated better. It has to do with YOUR conduct, not our disposition.
8: complete lie. We, not being concerned with sky pixies and lives beyond this one, attempt to make the most of the life that we have, and make a contribution to society. We don't go around praying and staring at the sky hoping for good things to happen.
9: um, dumbass, that would contradict the idea of atheist/agnosticism. Nevermind, it's confirmed. You are retarded.
10: I will put my contributions to society against yours any day, son. Trust me, you don't stand a chance on that score. I actually DO things to make the world a better place, not just pray for good things to happen.
Time for you to grow up little boy.

You missed ONE thing about the atheists. They are ignorant and arrogant enough to truly believe that THEY can know the UNKNOWABLE - whether there IS or is NOT a God. In the depth of infinity they have decided that there is no possibility that something exists that their finite little brains cannot comprehend. At least the agnostics admit that they "just don't KNOW".
