How do you use a drum washing machine in Korea? Where do I put the fabric softer & the detergent?

Is the drum washing machine the top loading one? If so, generally you just put the powder either in the with the load, or if there is a middle part and the top lifts off, you can put it in there. (Sorry cant think how to explain it better). At the back where the water comes through (on the inside) on some machines there is a small dish, where you put the fabric softener, and as the water rushes into the machine it will disperse it from there evenly.
