Ok. I am in a relationship with a 16 year old and I am 20. Reguardless of whether you think that is gross, the age of consent in CT is 16. We both want to have sex, and she says she has had sex before, and says she is ready to have sex with me. Can I get in trouble? The law says 16 for consent...

I am 16 myself and have been in relationships with older guys. I live in NC and our consent age is 16 also. I don't think its a problem legally.

You can't get in trouble for that by law, but I'd say that it is a pretty wide age gap. I mean you are almost done with college (If you're in it) and she's probably not even done with high school yet...just see where it goes first before making any really big decisions...and make sure her parents know about it. Also, she might be lying about the sex, just because she wants to lose it to you.

Law trouble? No. She says she is ready, Are you? What about STD's are both of you ready? Pregnancy/ Are you both ready?

If she calls you in a month and tells you her period is late, are you ready to take the responsibility of a mother to be and a child to be born? Please remember the only contraceptive proven to be 100% sure is abstinence.

After both of you have answer all this questions truthfully to yourselves, then you can make a decision.

i don;t think that u will get in trouble with the law...but you could get in trouble with her parents....
and i know you said regardless of whether u think it is gross, but how can u stop yourself from remembering how immature u were at 16? i mean, maybe im just like condesending, but when i turn another year older, i think of almost all of the people younger than me as sort of immature.

but if it is alright w\ u and her parents, i'd say go ahead

You can do it, but I wouldn't. Risky, don't you think? Better safe then sorry, besides, if for some reason the law isn't that, and she gets knocked up, man, you can get in some serious problems and sex offenders are listed for life.

Think hard.

the law may say 16 is legal, but if the parents dont like you and they find out then you may have some problems with the law.......the parents may press charges even though SHE may not want to...........so just wait or find "other ways" to enjoy your selfs,,,,,,,,,,,,
