It's the same reason they go to the doctors and not follow his/her instructions, or go to a restaurant sit at the table forever and not leave a tip, or drive slow and then speed up just as the light changes so you miss the light, or not hold the elevator so you just miss it, or take 30 items to a 10 item or less line or etc .........

These people are self centered and make everyone else miserable, it is unfortunate that they only live for themselves.

Why is it that sales people are persistent even when they are told that people are only window shopping? It's a two way street. Sales people, especially car sales, usually work mostly for commission, not salary. At least, most places I've ever heard of were like that.

Better question, why do car sales personnel waste potential customers' time by trying to make them stay long after they're ready to leave when they are clearly just looking? There's nothing wrong with just looking. That's the best way to find out what is the best car and deal for that particular customer.

As far as I know most of the people in the car business is in commission and they are interested in selling the car as much expensive as possible to get the bigger commission.

They believe they can sell more expensive cars to women because they are not supposed to know about cars.

They lie and cheat, you call to see a car, and they have sold it and they don't tell you until you go to the dealership as it happened to my wife.

When I bought my house I spent almost a year looking for it. I am not going to go to a dealership and buy the most expensive car the salesman wants me to buy in ten minutes.

When somebody tries to pressure me, I just leave. If the salesman is professional and polite and without pressure I keep his/her card and I have decide to buy the vehicle, the next day or week I go to meet with them and the sale is theirs.

Buying a car is the second biggest investment a person makes...People shop around, as they do a new home...Is this wasting your time? get out of the business, it is not going to change!

Oh give me a break!!!
Car salespeople are just one notch above party clowns, lawyers and realtors. It gives me great pleasure to torment them.
