Quite a few: Last year alone this many people let them into their home, studied the Bible, and were baptised.

Last year 2005, 247,631, became Jehovah's Witnesses and everyone of these had to change their minds pertaining to the false teachings that they had been taught, these were people that used their own Bible, King James, etc., 28,384 were from the United States.

6,061,546 average world wide Bible studies allowed Jehovah's Witnesses into their home in the year of 2005, 508,525 in the U.S.A.

Well, I usually don't let people in my house, especially on a first date. But if the Jehovah's Witness is cute and has had just enough to drink... well, you never know.

Each local congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses tries to visit each home in their territory at least twice each year. In some metropolitan areas, they visit each home weekly, while rural communities sometimes receive only one annual visit.

The matter of inviting them inside the home depends on local sensibilities, familiarity with and appreciation for their work, weather, and local traditions of hospitality. Unless the weather is inclement, most Witnesses are happy and prepared to carry on conversation at the doorstep.

Good question!

I do. Does anyone actually stop and think that they just might have the real religion. They believe without a doubt that they have the bible truth. The bible does say to preach the word of God to all . I would never turn anyone away from my door, if they wanted to share their faith and beliefs. After all, doing mean things to anyone regardless of their beliefs goes against what Jesus taught, and that was to love. One day Jesus mat just knock on your door with the same message that they tried to deliver to you. What will you do then? Show up naked? Slam the door in his face? Get your pit bull after him? Spray him with the water hose? Not me, because I love all.

I've learned the hard way not to even talk to them at all, because then they keep coming back and torturing you. I think it's great that they believe that strongly about their faith, but they need to get a grip that people don't want to be visited about it.
I am a Christian, and have a general knowledge about the bible, and always prove them wrong when they try to quote scripture to me.
One way to get rid of them is to tell them you are agnostic, even if you are not...lol.
They usually get nervous and just hand you a pamphlet and leave.

Honestly, I don't let very many people in my father's house especially Jehovah Witnesses and even Scientologists. I don't want to be persuaded by one's religious convictions, even though its fine by me what there beliefs are as long as they don't infridge on me in anyway.

I just tell them I'm an atheist, it usually stops them in their tracks

They are not as pushy as christians, which is probably why I don't ask jehovahs witnesses questions on yahoo answers :-)

not very many...I wouldn't...did you know that they don't celebrate birthdays like other religions do...instead of "happy birthday" they are "king" or "queen" for a day. My grand parents used to live next to Jehovahs witnesses

I let them in, offer them tea... they sit and look around the room, and see my collection of Living Dead Dolls and run screaming from the house, with Watchtowers flying all over the place.
