Hey all,

How do I ask a gal out that is currently my best mate?
we always bounce ideas off eachother and am always there for the otherone whenever they need it, I said that I want to take her to aussie post xmas sales and get her some things and she sobbed "ohh dude" cause it appears that i am the only guy that really cares bout her atm, sounds fair in this case.

But still my question is how do I go about asking her out without making a fool of myself?

answers from both guys and girls will be accepted for this question.

thanks

Just be straight with her and tell her how you feel. Honesty is so much better than keeping quiet and suffering in silence. If you don't try you'll never know what could have been. If you get shot down at least you tried and you can move on from there with your life.

Depends the level of friendship you are in.

If she's a really good friend, be strait up and detailed in you feelings, say over time you've come to love her and want to be more than friends.
If she doesn't feel the same don't go emo on her and ruin the friendship. explain you value her a a friend. She'll feel akward about it. a "girl" friend is the best thing to have to meet another chick.
If you wan to be more subtile go talk to one of her friends and ask the friend to ask her if she likes you as "more than friend" in a subtile manner. As in: "I see you hanging out all the time, do you like him?" Be sure to ask the friend to press beyond the inevitable "he's just a friend" and get a strait up answer.

Friendships that turn into relationships arent easy.

There are so many pluses.

here's the key...you need to change your dynamic with this women.

Women can smell confidence a mile away...and lackthereof.

Be scarce, dont always be availible.

Be a touch more aggressive and a touch more cocky and funny.

they key will be teasing her about all the things that she's a lil senstive about. poke fun at her. she'll eat it up. After you tease her slip her a wink.

End all your conversations with her first. be a lil snippy and encourage her to behave the same way.

Be a leader.

It'll be hard work to change your frame with a women who jknows you...but its very rewarding if you can do that.

Tell her you like her her and that you would like to spend more time with like going on a date and if the friend ship is important to you make sure and say that even if thing dont work out you'll all ways be there as a friend because sometime a relationship can be damaging and remember if it dosent work out try not to hold things against her

thats a difficult situation between two people who are that close.I think let time take its course and be there for her and dont worry about what it cost to make her happy because the main thing is showing her how much you care.Be honest with her about your feelings and if she feels the same way she will be honest back and then let things grow from there.Good luck hope things work out.

Say Hey I was wondering if I could take you out and get to know you a bit. I am interested in you and if youre not interested in me well it doesnt hurt to make a new friend. Go from there.

It sounds like you are good friends now, and the one interested in the relationship moving to another level is you. Be careful, you can ruin your friendship; it happened to me. I had a best friend for about 15 years and then we moved on to a closer relationship; it didn't work and now he won't talk to me. I miss my friend so much.

I know I'd much rather date a friend than someone I didn't already know. You already have a relationship, so just see about how she views the relationship and if she wants to take it a step further. Good luck

well the fact that your friends starts off things great you obviously enjoy each others company but id prolly just ask her if theres someone shes interested in and see what she says but hopefully shed respect a friend for being honest with her if you do just flat out tell her.

Stop being a baby and tell her? She will respect your honesty. If she says no then the relationship will be weird. But if you don't say anything then whats the point? And don't act like a baby when you tell her. Be confident. No one likes a sissy!
