Two days is really quick for turkey cold cuts to go bad but being "slimy" is not a good sign. I would not risk it; please dump that package.

If it's slimy, don't eat it!!! Actually you should eat cold cuts within 2 days of buying it, but who knows how long the store had it sitting there before you bought it. But if it starts to smell funny and starts to glisten and slime up, then definitely don't eat it. Why do you want to chance it --it's not worth it. Btw, sometimes turkey cold cuts last 2 days -- it depends on the brand, salt content, % water, etc. I notice that the drier turkey cold cuts last longer.

If it was fresh cut turkey that you buy in the deli, then it could be bad... but if it is sealed turkey in slices that you bought packaged... alot of times there are special things put on it to make it last longer... so as long as you keep it closed in some way... without the air getting in, then it is not bad...
ALSO...
IF IT WAS BAD... TURKEY STINKS HORRIBLY!!! FOUL ODOR & BAD TASTE...
so if it is bad... YOU WOULD KNOW IT!!!
But with all the things they put on packaged turkey slices, after 2 days they should still be good...
Turkey goes bad faster than any other deli meat... but 2 days is a little too fast.. its usually about a week...

After 2 days it shouldn't be slimy. Did you check the expiration date? I would take it back to store and get your money back

No way. It's only two days old, right???
That 'slime' is just the natural turkey juice. It gives the meat flavor. If it grosses you out you can always scrape it off.
Now...be warned...if the slime is accompanied by a funky smell you should get rid of that meat now!!!! It is a sign of The Clap, which is about the worst infection out there for cured meats.

Yes, that is a sign of spoilage. If it has only been two days, I'd take it back and insist on your money back. Cold cuts should be good for 5 to 7 days.

Maybe! I've been told to use my nose and if there's any oders that are offensive, chuck it. Unless you like the effects of salmonella! Also, check to see if theres an expiration date on the package. This doesn't necessarily mean that it's still good, but you may get a refund.
