i had my wisdom teeth cut out last monday......?

Question

i had two taken out on the bottom and one on the top. my mouth still hurts really bad (i think i got dry socket) but i have little red dot looking spots on the roof of my mouth. there are alot of them, they dont have texture, but they look almost like pores, but red. what could that be? is it serious? could it be an infection?


my oral surgeon's office is closed til wednesday. i dont know why.

I really have no idea but I do suggest that you call the office anyway because they should have an emergency contact number for the surgeon. If not, try your regular dentist of even PCP (Primary Care Physician).

Looks like we're both in the same boat. I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth taken out this past wednesday. My mouth is still killing me also. The red spots on the roof of your mouth are an infection caused by bacteria that got into the dry socket. You need to go to the emergency room or your walk-in care facility as soon as possible. It's okay that you're oral surgeon's office is closed, the hospital can take care of you. That's strange though that the office would be closed that long, because generally you have to have a post-operative appointment scheduled for 5-7 days after your oral sugery. Well good luck with your mouth, I feel your pain!!

You probably have an infection. Go to the ER and have them look at it. If it is an infection they will give you antibiotics. Also, call the oral surgeon's office. They should have someone on call or have recorded directions in case of an emergency. Do NOT wait with this.

No, it's not dangerous. Everyone have pores there. They can aslo be more obvious if u smoke.

i had that done to me also, and i didn't go to the er asap, i got so sick that when i did go to the er i about died from the toxins. GO RIGHT NOW!
