No there is no prophecy going on today.
The question for the ages! We do not know to day or the hour, but we do know when. When all the following things happen:
1. The church (the body of Christ) must be taken off the earth before the prophecy
of the coming of the Lord to the earth can happen. This event is not prophesied
and was kept secret and was not revealed until this revelation was given to the
apostle Paul. 1 Corinthians 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all
sleep, but we shall all be changed, 1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the
twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead
shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a
shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead
in Christ shall rise first: 1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive and
remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in
the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Today there is no prophecy being
fulfilled and no prophecy will be fulfilled until the Body of Christ is taken our
of this world. 2 Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times
shall come. 1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter
times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and
doctrines of devils;
The body of Christ has been promised that it will not go through the wrath of
God. So the wrath of God cannot fall until after the church is gone. 1
Thessalonians 1:10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from
the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
2.The wrath of God must fall. In the book of Revelation, we see the fulfillment of Daniel’s prophecy of seven years of tribulations on the earth. Daniel 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. During this 70th week, there will be three judgments on the earth. The 7 seals judgments: Revelation 6:1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. The seven trump judgments: Revelation 8:7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. The seven vials judgments: Revelation 16:1 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. Also when the devil and his angels are cast out of heaven, he will also pour out his wrath on the saints. Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
3.The Nation of Israel must repent. Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. Acts 3: 20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Acts 2: 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Jerusalem must repent and know that He is the Christ and when they cry blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord, He will return. Matthew 23:39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
4.The gospel of the kingdom will be preached into all the world. Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
5.Signs in the heaven: Matthew 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: Matthew 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
One will be taken to hell and the other will go into the kingdom: Matthew 24:40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Matthew 24:47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. Matthew 24:51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Any true Bible believing Christian knows the end is very near, read and study Revelations. The war between Israel and Lebanon is not the only sign. Churches are becoming more about telling you what you want to hear and not what you need to hear. The world has less morality than ever. It's time for the Christians of the world to work the hardest we ever have to bring people to the Lord, because as you know we aren't promised tomorrow!

There was a war between Israel and Lebanon in 1982! And lets not forget the 6 day war! It is the end for somebody everyday! But not the whole world at the same time!

End of what? $3.00 a gallon? Oh, the sign on the gas pumps. Gas rationing? Oh, OIL the beast that was and is not and yet is. Who is able to make war with the beast? Or drive to work with it? The second coming of Christ for what? Don't worry with all those people dieing in the middle east there will be plenty more oil from their decomposing bodies to fill our gas tanks with. I wonder how they feel about us driving around burning up their dead ancestors? Could this be what was meant by the second death; into the furnace with you. I don't think Jesus is burning the midnight oil just yet. After the friends of Israel make the peace (the ones with the blue hats or helmets of course some say turbans) than it will be 3-1/2 more years before. But, that doesn't seem to match the date of 2012 does it? So, make some pop-corn and watch the news.

It's being thought as the sign of the times, but I personally just don't see it yet. I don't see Iran/Syria wanting to go all out with a nuclear war, and barring that it's going to be a conventional war. Lots of bombs flying, lots of destruction, but still conventional. No nukes flying, and no oblivion for us all. It's going to be a war that will take a few months before Hezbollah gets routed but in the end they'll leave Southern Lebanon and NATO will bring a multi-national force there. In the end there will be negotiation and peace there, well at least till the next bunch of terrorists act up.

If you look back at history the jews and the muslims have been fighting for centuries. So many "false prophets" appeared and told everyone that the end was coming, and guess what, it never came. People still do that today and again no end is in sight.
The Apocalypse is going to come when you least expect it, so just go on with your life and achieve all that you want. Hell, become a doctor and cure cancer or become a lawyer and sue Microsoft for monopolizing the pc industry. Do whatever you want because I, frankly, don't think the end will even begin to happen during our time.

Consider that in every era, there's been someone who's said that the end is near. Unless you take a very broad definition of the word 'near', they've all be wrong so far. I think the world is going to be around for a while, and we should plan and live as if we've all got to get along with one another for a very long time.
Whether or not you think Christ (or anyone else) is coming, you can still choose to live your life to it's best and fullest potential.

If you believe in Christianity, you should at least know that God himself has stated that no one single being save himself knows when the end of days will come. So, no, no 2012 ending for all you armaggedon -happy fools out there.
I always prefered the Norse look on the end, namely the concept that Ragnarok (twilight of the gods) occured long ago, and that we are living in an endless world that is perfect for humanity. If the world does end, however, it will be by natural causes, not supernatural as many believe. Even a nuclear war wouldn't exterminate all life on the planet, it would take complete irradication of the planet to end existance.
Of course, we're just one species, so with our demise comes the rise of another, preferably more competant race. Gotta love evolution, ya?

the Bible did say that Israel would be attacked by enemies from the north and come out unscathed. and a new UN secretary general is going to be elected soon, which may in fact be the anti-christ. the Bible also says that the anti-Christ will make temporary peace with Israel, which is the goal of the secretary general. so this probably could be the end as prophecized in the Bible.

Lebanon and Israel are in fact a sign. It is a sign that barbaric politics are back. It is a sign that the world is getting fed up with terrorisom.

My end is right at the bottom of my spine..........................
but, if you're talking about the Second Coming: Jesus said no one will know the time or place, and (even tho' I'm Catholic and some of the "good" "Christians" out there have been trying to tell me I'll go to hell and that my religion is not Christian......), I am not about to try to second-guess God.
Why would this war be any different than any others? Unless God is finally sick of us killing each other over nothing?
Why don't some of you super - Christians try to stop all this murder (in Iraq, in Lebanon, in Somalia, in the US......and on and on....)instead of trying to figure out if Baptism is a good thing, a bad thing, or what....instead of trying to justify Bush and his stupid foray into a country that never ASKED to be a democracy--especially when it has cost so many lives--instead of trying to tell me MY religion is wrong and yours in right??????
