There is no real answer to this question but what I have learned of what love is to me and that is the word LOVE itself holds the answer.......
(L)isten: and validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.

Love, love, love, is a tricky emotion but it can be so great at times. Love isn't something you buy to give someone, its something thats stored deep down inside your heart about your significant other..It's something that makes you feel 99% crazy, mad, over heels over your guy or girl. It's this undescribable feeling; its like the everday excitement a kid gets when the ice cream truck comes around on a hot sunny day. It's like that time you got up to recite something, you get major butterflies, and begin to feel giddy about the whole situation. Love is something you're willing to a risk upon, by putting your heart upon the map, and trusting in that other person, and feeling like you're on top of the world. Love can even make you mispell or incorrectly pronounce words correctly, because you're too busy thinking about your love. Love is the cherry on top of life, its the one thing that does manage to keep things together, wether you're dating somebody, or you love your family, or love your friends, its just this crazy feeling ---> That i wish i had now lol, but its a mind-boggling crazy good feeling. You know, the dictionary doesn't even have half the knowledge of love, when it comes to the human mind and heart and soul about love, it's a state of emotion that you personally feel, and no-one can take that away from you, no matter how they try to disect the meaning of love, its impossible!

Real love is never boastful or proud. Love never insists on having it's own way.
That is a Bible verse in 1 Corinthians.....read the rest and you will see if your bf/gf fits the criteria for "REAL" love.

love has many faces and learning each one is darn well impossible.. anyone who thinks otherwise has a lot of growing up to do.... the bases for real or true love is knowing when to listen and when to talk... the closest thing to compare love to is poker, I know, sounds stupid but think about it... knowing when to fold or hold... when to show your feelings and when to look like you dont know nothin...... but for real here, the other person has got to trust you, and to always know that right or wrong or even indifferent you are always there for them.... God bless......
