Unless a man be born again he can not enter the kingdom Of God ...John 3:3
Only until your born from above can you ever understand the word of God , Amazing a little child can understand it ,so can a 100 year old man who has been touched by the masters hand , but those who are pereshing it is foolish to them

There is a difference between believeing in the existance of something and believing that something will support you.
I believe in the existance of rope, but I may not believe in it to the extent that a small rope will support me if I'm moutain climbing.
Satan belives in the existance of God as do a great many people. But Satan will never believe (put trust into) God because he wants to rule over mankind.

According to C.S. Lewis, a Christian is one who accepts the common doctrines of Christianity.
The path to salvation is easy. Acknowledge your sins and Christ's death on the cross as payment for that debt. Believers ought to accept the essential doctrines of Christianity, e.g. the Trinity, the inerrancy of the Bible, etc.
A Christian should continue to be a disciple of Christ by reading the Word of God, praying, and assembling with fellow believers. The fruits of the Spirit will follow someone who is a true believer in Christ.
But never forget that we are saved by grace, through faith.
Finally, a Christian's love for Christ should always continue to grow. Fall in love with Him more everyday of your life until you see His face.

You are correct. Belief in God is not enough.
Jam 2:19 You believe that God is one; you do well. The demons also believe--and they shudder.
Placing your faith and trust in Jesus for salvation is the way.

First of all lets understand what salvation is?
Salvation is the burning flame of knowledge that penitrates the veil of Ignorance which makes you belive that you are seperate from Oneness due to shift in attention from Self to Non Self. Self here means the Source of everything.
Salvation is purely the perspective of Grace & its not something which can be achieved but its a gift. And when Human being understand that he/she is an instrument of Divine, the claim of me & mine is dropped & instrument start living in understanding of Oneness & thats what is Salvation.

Salvation is believing that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Savior, and accepting him in your heart, life to work through you. You also must repent of your sins with your mouth and heart. After that try to live Christ like aka be a Christian. Know you are forgiven of your sins and that you don't earn salvation it is a free gift. You won't be perfect, but since you accepted him in your life he will work through you to be better and work towards perfection. If you sin after you are saved you must repent and move on and allow Christ to continue to work through you. People think they are unsaved when they sin after being saved, but that's just it, you are already saved.

Right, believing in the existence of God is not enough for God's approval.
Believing God's words, resulting in worshiping Him, is enough.
Rev.19:10...Worship God..(Rev.22:9..Matthew 4:10)
Matthew 4:4..Man must live, not on bread alone, but on every utterance/word coming forth through YHWH's/Jehovah's mouth.

It says believe in Jesus. Whoever has the Son has the Father and eternal life. If you love Jesus you will keep His commandments. After you are saved, be baptized and follow Jesus. God bless you

Believing that Jesus is your Saviour will get you to Heaven. Satan & the demons don't believe this.

Even the demons believe that God exists. It's not enough just to believe, you have to accept Him as God!
