i babysat in my home and i charged 25.00 a day for 1 kid....if they are all in different families that what i would charge per kid..if you have 2 kids in a family i would charge like 40.00 per day and so on....i made the mistake by only charging by the hr and people took anvantage of me....also make a paper they have to sign saying that if the child does not show up like supposed to you still get half the pay for that day...this was also a mistake i made and it was th eonly income i had, the person wouldnt bring her daughter for days at a time and then just show up whenever was convienient for her... i lost a lot of money and was behind on a lot of bills.....good luck

First I been baby sitting for years relatives kids, neighbor's, best friends and some people try to take advantage of you! You have a one child so you have to talk care of with the income you get when baby sitting. These are the things you have to look at how many children are you baby sitting, are the parents providing food, how many hours will you be baby sitting. Usually I do $10 dollars a day for one child. Extended hours charge extra! Think about this if there child goes to daycare they would pay $100 a week!

I babysit frequently because I work in a daycare and I look after some of the kids after work/on weekends. I charge $6 an hour for just one kid, and I add an additional dollar on the end for each additional kid. Two kids? $7. Three? $8. But if you have more than five (which has only happened once) .. I don't go over $10, as I'm not a nanny, just a babysitter, and a night out can cost a small fortune when your family has two sets of twins (one pair infants, one pair in first grade) and two older kids, like one did. But if you can tell the family is a bit less well-off, ask them how much they think is fair: that way they don't feel backed into a corner.

Hun, that is way too much for someone without a license, without a day care facility. And if you already have 6 kids you are watching, how are you going to garanty the safety of others? How can you keep tract of all those kids by yourself? I sure wouldn't pay that much. Break it down: $3/hour= $24 per day. That's $120 per week. That's about what they charge at a professional day care. You shouldn't charge anymore than $75/week per child. And just so you know, there is a state law (you might look it up in your state, b/c it's probably different than mine) but for every 3 children there should be 1 nanny. One nanny cannot have more than 3 children under her care b/c there is no way you can keep your eyes on all 6 kids, every day.

You did not say how many children, or your age, or theirs...
I would say $5 per hour/per child, and a bit more if there are bottles and diapers involved.
More than anything just have a great time. Multiple kids can be easier because they play together and don't need to be 'entertained' by you quite as much...but, they can also be horrid beasts that will eat your eyeballs if given the opportunity. *smile* Just kidding. Good luck!

hello, first of all you need to be 12 years of age to be watching children and staying home by your self. im not sure how old you are, but i provide care for multiple children as well. i also am certified by the state. i usually charge 2.50 per child per hour unless the child is with me 8-10 hours per day, then i charge 100$ per week. i provide the meals. also to provide care for children you should take the classes that NWTC offers. i have also completed them. hope this helps and good luck

We have four children and pay our babysitters $6/hr. Since our oldest child is 11, well-behaved and not in need of any real care they really only have to take care of the three younger children. Anyway, depending on you age, experience and whether or not your CPR/First Aid certified anywhere from $5-7 dollars is probably appropriate.

It all depends on the ages of the children and whether or not you have to furnish their food. I'd say at least $25 a day (per child)for a 4 hour period. Tack on more if longer than that.

it depends on the age and how many they are. If the child is around 8 or above you should not be charged much because they are old enough to keep care of the own.
Younger= higher
Older=lower
More=more
Less=less

well you either get paid $5 to $7 per kid and than it adds $2 for more.... so if you had 3 kid you wud ask for either $9 an hour or $11, but it also depends on the parents!
