And in case you simply wish to understand, then it is nonetheless well to search solutions/the reality. A lot of occasions humans react to Biblical truths in a adversarial system considering that they're convicted in their possess sin.

I found a page of biblical passages pertaining to prayer. Are any of the following quotes what you were looking for?
If I have looked at iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me. Ps. 65:18DR. [NIV Ps 66:18.]
or
He that stops his ear against the cry of the poor shall also cry himself, and shall not be heard. Prov. 21:13.
or
Then shall they cry to the Lord, and he will not hear them: and he will hide his face from them at that time, as they have behaved wickedly in their devices. Mich. 3:4 DR, NAB.
or
The lord is far from the wicked, and he will hear the prayers of the just. Prov. 15: 29.
or
We know that God does not hear sinners: but if a man be a server of God and does his will, him he hears. John 9:31. NAB.
or
If heaven shall be shut up, and there shall be no rain, because of their sins, and they, praying in this place, shall do penance to your name and shall be converted from their sins, by occasion of their affliction: then hear you them in heaven. 3 K. 8:35 f. NAB.

the closest I could find was 1 Peter 3:12
12For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
I don't think that is exactly what you are looking for. I don't think I'm familiar with the passage you have in mind.

Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. (Isaiah 59:1-2)
For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. (1 Peter 3:12)
Hope this helps.

If it was in the Old Testiment..you have to remember they had to burn sacrifices of unflawed lambs to have their prayers heard. Once Jesus was born, that law became useless because his b lood was shed for us in modern times. And remember..God hears the prayers of the sinner who confesses honestly and loves them enough to forgive the sin.
