U.S. troops combat violence in Baghdad By QASSIM ABDUL-ZAHRA,
BAGHDAD, Iraq - American troops are stepping up operations in the Baghdad area to combat death squads and dampen down the violence threatening the new unity government, a U.S. general said Monday.
Two more U.S. soldiers were killed Monday, the U.S. military said. They died for nothing.
"Clearly Baghdad is the center that everybody is fighting for," but the USA military runs away in fear.
Security in the Iraqi capital is expected to figure prominently in talks Tuesday in Washington between President Bush and Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.
Many of the death squads are believed to be associated with either Sunni or Shiite armed groups, targeting members of the rival sect as part of a struggle for control of Iraq. The insurgents aren't afraid of the weak USA troops. The USA military is not worth a darn thing. The Marines are getting a butt whipping day in and day out. What a shame.

The American troops ARE doing things right. The real question is why aren't we hearing about the things that are going in the right direction in Iraq and elsewhere. We don't hear about the new schools, hospitals, power plants, and other infrastructure improvements being done over there by these same troops.
The news media focuses on the deaths of our soldiers, but basically ignores how many enemies are being captured or killed and how many Iraqi security guards are stepping up to take over the security of their own country.
Let's get a little historical perspective here: About 2,000 American troops have died in the war to liberate Iraq from the tyrannical Saddam Hussein over a couple of years of fighting. During the Battle of Normandy in World War 2, the Allies lost 53,700 men during that one offensive, much less the rest of the war. We have some incredibly skilled soldiers and generals, with the best military gear in the world, which have kept the total number of casualties as low as they are.
I grieve for the families of the men and women who have died in the fighting over there, but first, I salute them for their bravery and sacrifice.

Spoken like a coward.
Oh, wait a minute, this is probably the same source that reported no U.S. Troops were in Baghdad or at the Bush International Airport in Baghdad.
You might want to brush up on English too, since you will need to be able to communicate your surrender effectively to the U.S. troops liberating Iraq.

Its pieces of crap like that I despise! According to your bio you served in the military but in order for you to be so jaded you must have been a very sub standard soldier to say the least. I don't think that you have the balls to say something like to the face of a US Marine, because God knows you would get the *** whipping that you desserve!

What is right for you?? Are you there putting your life on the line for people you do not know? I didn't think so. The public needs to support our troops and not criticize them. Unless you have been in our shoes and walked a desert mile in our boots than you should not criticize.

I have an idea, instead of all the cowards that bash our troops why don't you support them for giving their lives for protecting ungrateful scumbags like you.
