Interesting:
"Judge angels: 1 Corinthians 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?"
That sound like "fun" to you?
"Fill the governmental position: Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:"
I think it safe to say I disagree about how you've interpreted this passage. But be that as it may, whom will we be "governing" and, given this is heaven and all, whom in heaven is in -need- of "governing"? And does telling other things what to do (and being told what to do by one's government superiors) sound like "fun"?
No throwing frisbees for my dogs? No fishing allowed? No gardening necessary? No hermit thrushes to start and end my days? No "day"? No sleeping, no dreaming? No food (no steaks, no hot dogs, no pizza)? No kissing, no love-making? No new babies? Babies who never grow older, never achieve adulthood, never fall in love, never have children of their own? No problems to solve, nothing to learn, no discussions because no one disagrees?
We all stare at the Face of God and know eternal bliss while praising Him? That's it?
As for the original question, yes, it does seem the Christian God has promised those who are saved an eternity of worshipping Him. The idea that it is an endless holiday filled with scuba-diving and space exploration is not founded in the Bible. In the Bible everyone dwells in New Jerusalem in endless bliss because they get to look upon the Face of God and endlessly praise and glorify Him.
It's either that or endless damnation and hellfire, screaming and gnashing one's teeth, etc ad nauseum.
Endless, mind-numbing 'blissful' boredom or endless pain...if it sounds like ol' God doesn't have the first clue about humanity, you're not alone ;-)

1.What will we do in heaven? Judge angels: 1 Corinthians 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? Fill the governmental position: Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: Colossians 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. Colossians 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
2.Who will be in heaven? All those who have trusted in what the Lord Jesus Christ did on the cross for them: 1 Corinthians 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1 Corinthians 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Who will not be there? All those that are in hell and Satan and his angels. Job 15:15 Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight. Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

You have the question of questions here :)
I totally agree with you. Has anyone really thought this through? If we're all perfect, then what is the point of existing?
There will be no way to better ourselves. No goals to accomplish, no problems to solve. No sense of self worth through personal progress. Learning new things and exploring the universe may be fun for awhile. A thousand years, ten thousand year, maybe even one hundred thousand years! But eventually this will end, and we'll have nothing.
Nothing but unending praising of god to provide happiness? Sounds like a frontal labotomy to me.

Most people want to go to heaven but have no idea what they would do theremaybe it's beecause they want to escape going to hell and they se no other way to do that than to go to heavenThe heavens were created for the angels dweling there and for God himself on the other handthe earth was created for humans to live on and for all other creatures that are on it(Isaiah45:18) The earth was created by God to be inhabited by humans, not temporarily but its purpose was as a dweling place for humans and animals!By the way God the Supreme Almighty being does not deserve to be refered to as it He is a person who deserves respect even more so, than any other being.

plz do not get offended. This whole heaven and hell scene was created by some wise men to keep the society under control. In olden days the law of the land was not there. So the people created rules to keep order in the community.
So this whole funda of heaven and hell was to put fear in the minds of the people so that they will behave.

Look around you, they are up there in Heaven watching us on one big TV screen. Throw in some drama, some mystery, and a whole lot of comedy, because we must be hilarious to them. Plus they get to interact with the TV show

you can sak the God to give you a post if you get yourself into heaven.. haha...
Actually, Heaven for me is just like a place to relax our soul, when we as a human feel tired and want a place to rest, we will go back to our home. And so for our soul, heaven is the home for our soul.

We will share in God's knowledge of the world--sounds entertaining to me. If He finds us that interesting, I can't wait, besides, I think you are right about the continuous praise thing--won't it be wonderful?
