If you're stateside and plan to live in off-post housing, you can move as soon as he's out of training, but unless he has all his paperwork in and approved, the governement won't pay to move you, and you won't get a housing allowance until everything is filed. If all the papework is in, they gov't will either pay someone to come pack and move you (nice option), or reimburse you for the expense of moving yourself. You will also have the option of on-post housing, and if you opt out of that or it's not available at the time, you'll get a housing allowance to pay your rent. The same goes for overseas stations like Germany. You CAN go, but unless you have command sponsorship you are not eligible for any of the overseas benefits, housing or BAH. Paying out of pocket to move overseas would also be MUCH more expensive than moving across country.

This all depends where he goes. If he goes overseas, such as Germany, it takes longer than stateside. You'll need to have command sponsorship for that. If it's in the states, as soon as he's filed for his BAH and such. Stateside, unless you choose not to, you'll move with him at the same time. Often, the spouse chooses not to move until the soldier has found a place to live. I always went with him though.

as soon as he gets Accompanied Orders. Typcially, this will be after he completes all training, which can last a year or more.

If his first duty station is OCONUS, you may or may not be allowed to join him. Places like Germany, for instance, you would only have to wait as long as it took to get Command Sponssorship, your No fee Passport, your Overseas Screening and housing. Korea.. most likely you wouldn't be able to go over at all, as sposnsorship would not be granted.
