YEs, yes, and yes. I am pregnant and due in Sept. All of my dr. appts and baby expenses are paid...no co-pays or anything...all paid.
My friend, whose husband is in the army, is ATTENDING SCHOOL ON BASE FOR FREE and will attend a college when she finishes that....for free. another little known fact....the army will pay for breast implants as well. Research it online, it's true. My husband knows a guy who got his wife breast implants and the army paid. It's supposed to be a thing to boost morale. I personally think its ridiculous. When you get married your husband has to enroll you in the DEERS program...that is the health insurance program. Once he shows the marriage certificate to the appropriate people and gets you a military ID card they will direct you to the office to sign up for DEERS.
A little piece of advice......do not get married just for the benefits. Some soldiers use that to lure a lady to marry him and some women marry a soldier just to be "taken care of" that is NO REASON to get married. The military life is a VERY hard one. Your husband will be gone A LOT. They have to go out and do field training for two weeks at a time, they have to go away to schools and train for a month or so at a time...this is pretty frequent. make sure you can handle being alone a lot. This causes some military wives to cheat. And believe it or not MANY soldiers cheat on their wives with the Female Soldiers...beware of that as well. It is VERY common on the base where I'm at. Be sure that you can handle a life where you will not see your husband that often. It is hard but if you truly love him it is SO worth it. Good luck!!

This is a very good question with lots of answers. The military is a family and you'll have lots of support within the Army and his unit. We have FRG's, which are Family Readiness Groups. They'll keep you informed and you'll meet with other spouses in the unit.
As for other benefits, there's many, but many have "hitches" to them, so to say. You'll have dental, but you have to pay insurance. You get your teeth cleaned twice a year. Any other work, there's a co-pay, which usually isn't much. The insurance also doesn't cost much and it covers a whole family. The military member is taken care of on post.
All medical is taken care of on post. Waiting lines in the ER are long, but overall, the care is good. All medications are filled on post. If you have something they don't carry, sometimes you fill it off post and there can be a co-pay. Sometimes they don't have equipment or they're overbooked and they refer you off post. There's no cost for this. TriCare covers it (military insurance).
You're allowed one eye exam every year off post. There's no cost for this.
Depending on the school and where you're located, sometimes there are discounts for spouses. This does vary.
Housing is something everything thinks we get for free, However, this isn't true. There is on post housing, which is free, but it's usually full and there are long waiting lists. Many posts are building new facilities though. If you live off post, you do get BAH to help cover rent and utilities. This usually doesn't cover the full amount though. It just helps and it's a big help. As his rank changes, this amount changes.
He'll receive BAS. This is money for food. It only buys his food, it's not to feed a family. If he deploys or goes to the field, you don't receive it for that period of time.
I hope this covers everything. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask. Oh, you can shop at the comissary for groceries....it's usually cheaper. The PX also carries the same things most department stores do and there's no taxes.
Good luck!!

The BAS is for him on account that he's curiously no longer on a meal card. the purely element you're entitled to is BAH Differential. on account that he's an E4, it is not any longer plenty. For an E4, it is $206.10 in accordance to month. There aren't any substances. As for help with college, you want to pass to a base/placed up coaching facilities place of work and observe what courses are at the moment energetic. those courses change with the budgets each and every of the time. toddlers propose no longer something in entitlements except you're less than command sponsorship to stay distant places, then you fairly ought to get a cost of residing Allowance for them. on account that he's stationed at ft. Campbell, this isn't a ingredient on your case. if you're in some type of divorce courtroom cases, all he's obligated to pay you the 206.10 till a freelance is reached. if you're no longer in a divorce proceeding, you should nevertheless be getting that volume if no longer something else. you should have an identity card, be enrolled in DEERS and TRICARE no remember what the case is.

the benefit is knowing what an incredible man your husband is for devoting himself to protecting the citizens of the United States. You should be very proud of him.

my brother's wife thought it was great when he was on deployments that she had time to screw around on him, so that could be a benefit, if you're so inclined.
