I dont think God is a sexist. I dont even think God has an sex. how could such a supreme being be just one thing when God is all around us in every thing that lives. So think about that one.

God made the two sexes to work together in an ingeneous way to create new life. It is a wonderful gift to have male and female. Our human family replicates the Holy Family and should stand as an example of the love between the trinity.
You can blame the period thing on Eve. And childbearing isn't that bad--I have had five natural births and the kids are worth the pain!

Interesting question, I am sure that men do not ponder it. (oops, stereotype, sorry metro sexuals)
We have two genders as a species, and one of them had to be strong enough, mentally and physically, to endure creating new life. It makes sense to also have that gender have the nurturing instinct (mostly) to raise these future humans.
I think "God", or whatever entity made it all possible, encompassed all needed traits to ensure survival of the human species.
##please note, the following stereotypes are rapidly changing, and we are proud of that
Look at it logically:
enduring a period= men no
giving birth= men no (yeah, right!)
raising babies= men no (normally)
men who help make, then leave and abandon baby and mom= many men yes
women who are deeply emotionally invested in said baby and do not give up= women yes
see hope for future world= women yes/some men
men who want to kick *** to save world= mainly men yes (for hundreds of years, history has shown that this does not work, LEARN from it!)
women who know violence does not work= all
Emotion, balanced with logic=communication. Women were made strong enough to demonstrate this. One day, soon, on our planet, it will be realized that women have value. We are breaking through...
Do not give up sisters!

God is God..think of him as the ultamite designer...most female mammals give birth because God designed it that way and although we women carry life and have a menstral(which is no fun ...) the man is still the head of the house,a man will always be stronger, its true God loves his lqueens and little princesses' he made us more delicate and fragile (physically , chemically and biologically) .. i mean a woman is the glory of man(her hubby)and the man is the glory of God...i don't think he favors women over men he just designed us diffrent but being a woman is a wonderful thing! i wouldn't change it men have too much pressure!!!

God is not sexist because God does not have a gender, the only reason most people refer to the spirit as "He" is because most languages do not have a non gender specific pro-noun and throughout history laws and such were made by males.

God is a "sexist" in the sense that He has ordained different roles for men and women to play in his Creation, not in the sense that He prefers one person over another because of their gender.
God set Christ over mankind and men over women in the church and the home. But men are called to follow Christ and love their wives as Christ loves the church.
The Scriptures say that there is no difference in the body of Christ between men and women in regards to salvation and in God's love for them. But when a person becomes a Christian they don't cease to be a man or a women. Women still have the role of bearing children and men still have the role of sacrificing themselves for the good of the family like Jesus did for the church.

Yes I know the answer. God used Humans to show us His ways and plans and purpose and humans portrayed God the human way with it's immesurable limitations. Do you think the God of the Americans is better than the God of the Saudi Arabians?

If the bible is the word of god, the answer is an unequivocal and unarguable yes.
1 Timothy 2:8-15 (NIV version)
8I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing.
9I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, 10but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.
11A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. 12I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent. 13For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner. 15But women[a] will be saved[b] through childbearing—if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety.

Are you kidding? God is totally sexist...Why do you think women are suppose to be bare foot and preggers all the time and men are suppose to work. That's why men still look down on women these days too.

I don't think so... he made each sex different, true, but the differences work towards an advantage. Both male and female bring unique qualities to the relationship - which is to foster children and keep the population growing.
They fit together well, if you know what I mean ;)
