Having a son who at such a very young age has become an alcoholic. he has been an alcoholic since he was about 13, we never knew he drank for a long time. By the time we found out, it was too late. We did send him to rehab but that is something you have to WANT! It's a very painful thing to go through!!

I lost my father due to alcoholism and that was very hard but I delivered a stillborn baby over a year ago and that has destroyed me as a person. I really believe that is the worst pain mentally that can be felt.

it is crazy the things people can live through. i personally have come through quite a river of **** in my life. i think that people need to endure such tragedies to keep us all human, to make us better people. when we lose someone or something, it makes what we have that much more valuable.
i have lost 3 very important people to suicide, several others by nature. i have survived physical, mental and sexual abuse throughout childhood, my parents and grandparents divorces, my father a drug addict who is now mentally ill because of it, my mom is an alcoholic who brought many men into our lives, i went through one bad relationship after another. but i swam the river of **** and i came out clean on the other side because life goes on. i am a stronger person because of it all and now i found happiness. i married my best friend, my family cut ties with poisonous people, and i swear on my life my new baby boy wont ever see life like i did. he will have his own struggles. but i will give him the best life i can. i hope you all can use your hard times to decide how to lead your life better. love your families now, while you have them, and don't waste time on people who are poison, it wont make your life better. we only have a short time here.

I think that varies from person to person and depends on what you value...what matters to you...

But above all...I tend to think betrayal or abuse of trust...is about the most hurtful...

A lot of things can be overcome by resistance - but an abuse of trust - is like a blow behind your shields because you trust the person in question...

Losing a twin sister or brother. You have spent your whole lives together and if one is suddenly gone, their support system is knocked out, and they feel alone. Twins have a very special bond. I have a twin and this is my worst fear. I can only imagine what it would feel like, and half my life would be gone. It would be terrible.
