It sounds like he wants to tie you down with responsibility so that he can keep you close. His thinking is, if you go to college, you're gonna go out with other guys (yah, you probably will) and that will be the end of you two.

I would suggest talking him in to going back to college, even if it's community college. Convince him that he's young, too...and he should be having fun and learning while he can. Later in life you both are going to have tons of responsibilties to bog you down.

Whatever happens, keep on your path to college. Be prepared to break it off with him if he doesn't support your decision. College is soo fun and your experiences there will shape you for the rest of your life.

16 is entirely too young to even be thinking of getting married- living w/someone, having to pay bills, whatever! You should only be thinking of what you said- finishing High school and going to college. I (unfortunately) let some stupid guy control me and stop me from going to college and I regret it to this day! I am now 33 and yes- we did eventually break up! Stand your ground- tell him you are going to college and that is that. If you choose to stay w/him, you never know, and he insists on you paying 1/2 the bills then YOU insist on him doing 1/2 the housework! Many men believe that the women are supposed to do it all- plus help pay bills- that's not right! Don't stand for it. Either he pays all the bills and you do all the housework or 50-50 on both accounts! Tell him that and see what he says! Good Luck!

stop dating a guy who is too old for you and live like a 16 year old should instead of running behind some man who is too sorry to get a woman his own age. You needto stay focused on school and finish. Then go off to college and get your secondry education. Screw that bum. Focus on school and have fun.

It seems to me that he is a bit over controling. He's telling you "you have to pay half the bills". Does he even realize that you two might not get married? I think that if you want to go to college, you should have that choice.
