Write her a letter. That way she won't have ANY questions about what it means. She won't have any reason to gab back and forth with her girlfriends saying, "OMG he said... but I don't know exactly what that means...." and it gets all distorted. Put it in writing, she then has no excuse to say she didn't understand. And if you guys end up together it is sweet to have that letter to be reminded of this time before you were together.

Ask her out- one on one date only and go somewhere quiet and nice. You can write something like a letter or a poem and get her to read it while your there so if she has any questions, she could ask you there.
