It is very common that people have disagreement over some matters. Religion is one of the biggest subject of disagreement among people. To make matter worse, there are no scientific method to prove the claim.
So it's back to each person spirituality. You can choose the best way for yourself because you have been blessed with a freedom of choice. No man nor God himself able to force his choice to you.
For me myself, I think I can't live without Jesus beside me. I can feel clearly that right now He's holding my hand to guide my journey to His Father's house. For me, the journey may be only a short walk, as I may reach the house in less than a year.
For you, I think you have been blessed with a longer walk to "Father's house" and therefore you will have a lot of plenty of time to carefully search the meaning of your journey. Hope you will find the meaning in the end.

To me what Jesus or Mohammed may have said are just conjecture. People's words can be manipulated to convey whatever people want.
To me the Bible and Koran are books created by and chosen by men not the "word of God".
If these Gods existed why do they need men to convey a message that could be conveyed directly to each person.

i'm pagan, not christian, but i have a hard time believing that jesus is responsible for all the deaths in the name of christianity. many people have done horrible things in his name and warped his intended message. jesus of nazareth was a very peace loving soul and i hold him up there with people like Socrates, Mohammed, Ghandi and Mother Theresa. if i killed someone and said it was to protect the beliefs of Ghandi, is that Ghandi's fault? i don't think so. i think in history people used the name of jesus to get political backing from the masses.
I also believe jesus was concerned with monotheism, the "one god" idea and that is where he was separated from the romans. either way, i have a hard time associating him with hitler. the situations were completely different, as jesus proselitized peace and love and hitler was into world domination, the procurement of all sacred texts to find secrets to power, and the systematic killing of jews, (jesus was jewish). if it is anger at christians that is eating you, it would be better to verbally focus that anger at the root of the problem, than at their chosen savior.
