I recommend a combination since no one product catches all of them.

Use the following:
Spybot
Ad-Aware
Computer Associates PestPatrol

I used to recommend Adaware, then it was Spyware Nuker (I still love the guys that wrote that software), but today, I can't recommend anything other that Microsoft Windows Defender.

Microsoft released this software about a year ago and called it the Anti-Spyware Beta. It has recently changed names to Windows Defender. It's free, although I've heard rumors that they might start charging for it at some point.

You can download it here...

It's in it's 2nd beta and is rock solid stable. It works very well. I haven't had a spyware infection problem since I've been running it.

You could also try here. One of my Spyware Article Sites...

Buy Spyware Doctor. It's the best anti-spam/spyware software out there.

I've been using Ad-Aware for a while now and like it a lot. There's a free, personal version you can download here: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/. It also looks for updates every time you use the program, so you have the latest defense against spyware.

I have a program called Spy Sweeper - it was recommended to me by Best Buy. They loaded it on my computer in the store when I had a virus wipe out my entire system. This thing sweeps everything and it is set up to sweep the system at the same time every day. It costs around $29.95 at Best Buy and I am very impressed with it. Good luck!

download Spybot, google it, it works well and is free. Have to update it periodically but works quite well. It also helps to have two different spyware finders, sometimes they find different things.
